Question: I am not ready to upload this new version, I will let you guys hash out the bugs first. But when it is ready for general consumption, am I going to be able  to update my theme exactly like I have in the past? And will the Clean Theme child remain as it is, with all of my CSS updates.

Or will I have to start from scratch and redo all the styling?

2.1.5 - uploading and processing as expected, no problems


Could everyone testing this add some identical keywords to at least one image - say blue, sky or something so we can see how it looks with a search where everyone comes up, at the moment there are not enough images/keywords to test this?

other good ones I've found already are: nature, travel, animal -- see  http://cascoly.com/symbio/testsymbio.asp (but remember this, for now, is a collected db, not automatically updated)

that site also uses the 'old' symbiocard - i'll be fixing it to use the new ones shortly

I'm pretty sure styling will be unaffected. Clean-theme will probably be current with the new theme, so don't worry there. Amanda is testing so I'm sure she is updating it. We are probably not far from releasing it.

This is very impressive. Your making a directory! At some point you should go to www.themeforest.com and get a template to wrap around all of your output.

Forgive me if I missed anything, but if you want me to make any more data export-able (like the image list) please let me know. Its not hard at all.

No - you get CC'd with every communication your site makes. That way your site is not talking without your  knowledge. I get the impression people will not like that format, so what I'm going to do is make your site send you an email: "These people were contacted" that way its less redundant and its confined to one communication.

Cascoly, just a little FYI - you have access to everyone's feeds in your network. Actually you have access to everyones feeds...outside of your network

There is no doubt a plugin out there that will allow you to assimilate their feeds and automatically publish them to posts without your having to maintain it.

How are you deleting them - removing the names or clicking on the tiny " - " after the box at the end of the line which I would guess is the best way of getting rid of any you do not want and then updating ?
(this is guesswork)

Leo - the emails.  I think part of the problem is they all look identical, it is not until you open up the full headers and read though all the details that you see who they have been sent to and see they are not all duplicates

I clicked the MINUS - they get back after saving, also tried to make them em pty  - same no result

Leo, I think the .animal"search bug results was because members had not all updzted their symbikcards?  I have rearranged the order and think there is onlu one line now without a name/link in it

Just a quick FYI I've started to build the Symbiocard harvester for that extended marketing - what this whole 2.0 version is about! Every function/feature I worked on built up to this simple harvester.

This is not the "hub site" stuff...its a simple way for websites to promote eachother many-hops away.

PS - that is very strange. Your author page should only have ONE face... I should see whats causing that.

V 2.1.6 - uploaded 21 pictures and processed fine (so much easier when you don't have to add SEO or change titles and descriptions).

There is a problem with the network list though.  I think you may have played with it during the night (my night) ?  as names were in a different order.

One extra thing I think this does show is how few of us are likely to use photos of ourselves
