Yes i did activate hotlinking protection. Since some of you geniuses know exactly how all this stuff works, and i do not, i wasnt sure what problems that might cause. Apparently you all are hotlinked to my site via the network.

I didn't laugh at you. Hotlinking ( showing images on one site from another site) is what Symbiostock is all about. I want your images on my site...and I want my images on your site.

CRUCIAL BUG
my site does not send passwords during registration.. (it only works if I disable SYMBIOSTOCK - Emails and Notifications plugin)


IMPORTANT BUG
my site does not send purchase confirmation email to customers anymore.. (it would probably work after disabling the same plugin.. haven't tested that but it is obvious I think)

Last night I installed the latest version to just test it, I went to process the first test photo and when to reprocess the photo and got the failed to copy error. What was the fix?

I manually added a new test user this morning and requested an email confirmation.  No email was received.  I checked the spam filter but it was empty.  Seem there is a problem with the email notification process.

Just a little thing, but could we please have the default setting for new images as N/A for model and property releases - will save a  little work when editing each image if you are going to make it visible in the public area

Update on email notification.  Eventually the email notification ended up in the spam filter.  It took about 20 minutes.  Not sure why the delay.  Lost is cyber space I guess.

Had a friend create a new user.  The email notification also ended up in the spam filter, but within just a few minutes.  We use the same ISP so something about their spam filters don't like these notifications.

When this new user logs in their are taken to the Customer License and File Management page, instead of the Home page.  Is this something new?

PS:  I am currently on v2.3.4.

Ya agree with Tinny, coz I didn't notice this two release added in new version, I uploaded 40 images all with Model and Property release YES. Could we also add Model and Property release at "Quick Edit"?

definitely -- right now most of this info resides with leo and he's busy trapping bugs - but I agree it's very important and eventually there will be  more technical info on the symbiostock site.  we need descriptions of the connections among the various types of info which are all stored in one db table, and then an overview of what the system does.   someone can do this by studying the code, but it's painful.

for the networking, i'm working on external routines that read the various csv files and collate them for searching with preliminary samples at http://cascoly.com/symbio/testsymbio.asp

right now i'm trying t tho automate the collection of the csv files from various sites and once I et this done, i'll document what & how for this aspect.

good idea -- I'd  already planned to split the faq into 2 parts -- users and hosts, and the hosts section could be split into getting started  and advanced features, tho the line between these is blurry

is there a reason not to combine the marketing and network listings?  couldnt we just create our network  by clicking on the sites we want in the marketing page?

also, when we click on the 'get sym card' icon on networking - why not use the same  file name you do in seeds rather than calling all of them symbiocard?  (all these were at least v2.3.3)

same for reset - this should be a button too, but it's such a drastic action (deleting all cards in seeds folder too, so should have a confirmation 'do you really..'----
the phrase & link '� See extended directory'   needs its own line outside the listing box

The slideshow on the network images is making me feel seasick. Can autoplay be optional? I'd love to switch it off if possible.

BTW We are appearing in our own network searches. Is that a bug or a feature?

That wasn't a demeaning laugh. Just funny to prevent hotlinking in a system that is hotlink dependent. If nothing else its a good clickthrough strategy so we figure out what it is we are missing!

Either we're going to need a really good wiki, or even better, just a bunch of people helping as they continue to get versed in the whole thing. I like the second option better

Actually promoted keywords are the very thing SY has been building toward. And it needs its own explanation. I'll write one up and link to it in the help area.

BTW - are people actually using the internal help-links / help file I've been building?

All good ideas! I don't want to overwhelm the network page - but if you guys want to add in the directory page with the network  page let me know and I'll make the adjustment. Its a simple "include" so 10 minutes of work or less.
