this may not be a bug and I am not sure what's causing this but when processing more than "a handful of images" (7-10) I get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error..

images process fine, and they are there.. no problems with that.. I am not sure why it crashes and "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message appears..

maybe I should stop using internet explorer? :)

Yes!

Related images, cool feature. I like it.  :)

Just wondering...  what "related" exactly means here: I open the image page of "sand dunes in Death Valley" and I see ... a "Jellyfish"! ;D

Mind you, I have only 10 processed images in total. So there isn't much choice for really related images.
amount of shared keywords in descending order so you right

Seems pretty solid now - great work - similar images works surprisingly well.

Couple of things...
1. Are extended licence options coming?
2. Can we loose the rounded corners on Similar images please? It makes my pano's look odd.

Template is shaping up pretty fast though, never expected you to devep it at such speed :-)

And there is another kind of networking error: sites (not all) having theruchos.com in their network have problem with finding needle in haystack :)

To demonstrate this bug, search for "solid gold coins treasure chest" in Google. My image is the first link - the closest similar image is at the bottom of the widget.

Steve
I think some are in order some are not. Can u check for me? If all backwards simple array reverse is all that is needed.

Steve had his example, and here is mine:
All slugs have the same set of keywords, and they are at the end of similar images:

Leo

I tried with a few images and the closest match (in my estimation) is always the one in the bottom right of the array.

I think a reverse sort is all that is needed

Leo, it is not that crucial but would it be easy to implement an option where we can turn off links on images? with wordpress posts, this can just be set to "none" once and it stays that way..

also, I mentioned this above but you may have missed it.. have you not included the checkout page solution into this version? the one where images still appear in the cart after redirection.. but that might be an internet explorer thing as well as it didn't happen in chrome transactions..

Leo, I think 404 missing page should be modified to include image related recommendations instead of blog related links it has at the moment..

those archives, tags or categories will never be used so it is better to have relevant links like featured images, latest images, or image categories and tags.. (or an obvious link sending buyers to the homepage could be good as well..)

I am getting quite a few visitors already as I installed symbiostock to an old domain. the problem I have is after removing the previous install completely, all my visitors see is this page, and it should have better links to prevent those visitors from leaving the site..

not everyone installs symbiostock on fresh domains so it would be good to address this for the future as well..

I apologize if this has already come up.

I'm getting errors when doing an image search, seems to be related to the network:
I'm going to just keep chipping away at that error till it ceaces to exist. Your looking at symbiostocks most difficult error  :) :) :)

By the way, i put http://stompstock.com/ in my SY network and activate my SY network and then i run a search for "golf" (i have no files golf keyword, but stomp have), but "No results found for Golf". I'm doing something wrong?

Add

.widget-featured img
{
  border-top-left-radius: 1px;
  border-top-right-radius: 1px;
  border-bottom-right-radius: 1px;
  border-bottom-left-radius: 1px;
}

to your child .css

Ok, I am BACK today. I'm almost awake enough to carry out some lucid coding here.

You guys do know I purposely write in these bugs just to keep you active here right? Its called obsolescence I think.

All jokes aside, it appears there are some minor glitches left...but I get the impression some people might be getting a little OCD on a few things. Not that I'm one to talk...I live it :D.

Today I'll be doing two things; Addressing bugs and laying the foundation for ONE HECK of a search function. And getting plenty of help on wordpress.org on this one - keep it problem free. Its going to involve a direct query to the database, which in the land of wordpress simply means DO NOT mess around.

Anyway, thats the update for today. Someone run to starbucks for me.

Cappuccino OK :-)

Just one more request as I know you hate sleeping.
Can the search results have a 'view option drop down' for the customer - 25, 50 or 100 images or something similar?
So the results can fill out depending on their screen/device size.

Hey Leo! I broke it  :o  I've been having weird issues processing only some images, I get the following error above the table on the uploads page:

Warning: getimagesize(/home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/plupload/uploads/business_woman.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/image-processor/symbiostock_image_processor.php on line 481

And then if I click process images I see:

Warning: file_get_contents(/home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/plupload/uploads/business_woman.jpg) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/image-processor/wideimage/lib/WideImage.php on line 194

Warning: unpack() [function.unpack]: Type c: not enough input, need 1, have 0 in /home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/image-processor/wideimage/lib/vendor/de77/TGA.php on line 90

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'WideImage_InvalidImageSourceException' with message 'File '/home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/plupload/uploads/business_woman.jpg' appears to be an invalid image source.' in /home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/image-processor/wideimage/lib/WideImage.php:225 Stack trace: #0 [internal function]: WideImage::loadFromFile('/home/cartoo11/...') #1 /home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/image-processor/wideimage/lib/WideImage.php(183): call_user_func(Array, '/home/cartoo11/...') #2 /home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/image-processor/symbiostock_image_processor.php(167): WideImage::load('/home/cartoo11/...') #3 /home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/image-processor/symbiostock_image_processor.php(1013): symbiostock_image_processor->symbiostock_process_image('business_woman', 78) #4 /home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/in in /home/cartoo11/public_html/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/image-processor/wideimage/lib/WideImage.php on line 225

I can't figure out why some are processing perfectly and others are throwing this, it's all vectors almost certainly not a size issue since this error come up on some much smaller files (under 2mb) than ones that are successful, and I'm using the latest version posted today with a clean child theme no edits. On InMotion hosting.  If any of that helps.  Also it seems to be hanging around, I am uploading other images that are successfully processing but the one that is throwing errors keeps popping up on the upload and processing screens.

You got me at the right time!

Two gotches I've seen: Yesterday I uploaded a file called robot_running.jpg.jpg and it tripped due to wrong file names. Another one is the uppercase .JPG ... still working around that one.

I'd think its your filename if nothing else. Can you post it?

My file name?  It's super original...this one is "business woman"  but the really weird thing is when I upload it from another backup folder (same image but larger, same filename, it works?!)  There has to be something I'm missing...still checking.  This is a dumb question but how do I tell if the the extension is upper or lowercase?

You might have extensions turned off on your computer.

But my-file.jpg is a lowercase extension, myfile.JPG is uppercase.

I'm fixing it though...just curious if that was the case? Probably not.
