Using ImageMagick (exec enabled)

Web Host: GoDaddy

Its unknown if I'm going to make this a premium feature or base...but for now I want to get an idea of who has access to the terminal through php.

I would humbly suggest that this be added to the base code (and not a paid premium feature), since this seems to be one of the biggest issues for new Symbiostockers.  I don't have the issue, so it won't affect me either way, but IMO it would cut down on the frustration from new users.

Imagmajick is fundamental to running a site so it should be a base feature and not a luxury.

Depending on how many people have it, I might just scrap TONS of code and convert completely to imagemagic terminal. Depending on how deep the issue ran I would have made it premium, but since it appears everyone has access its possible we might just end up with the best image-processor yet in the base version.

I have just got Leo's help to get my Premium upgade working and I'm excited to Work with it and especially the batch editor.
I have now tried different Things for a while and also searched on the forum, but cannot find the answer to how to get the batch editor working in practise.
I attach the Picture of the screen I have when going to the batch editor. Where to go from there? It seems something is missing?
Thanks for your help!
Jean

For anyone who cares the Twitter image posting does work - and its awesome - mine stopped auto-posting on the 25th and I've been following the issue -

https://dev.twitter.com/discussions/20720?page=1

So confirmed it is a twitter problem...and it will be back.

Also today I've been working on the "drafts" editing as well.

one more thing that really bothers me:

what's that additional box doing there? it is not necessary as there is already a link to licenses above..

is it possible to turn it off?

I'm just setting my licenses and would like to get rid of that too. Did anyone find out how it works? I couldn't find an answer.

I am only guessing but I would think you could turn it off by clicking on the Yes in the licence creation area  - just select Yes and put a note in the description box with brief overview about standard licence.  If you click yes for extended etc they do not appear below so I would imagine it is the same with the standard.

I just did that: clicking yes for both standard and extended, but only standard appears in that way ... kind of strange.
Leo, are you around ... could you explain that to us?

I just found out: if you set the price upgrade to 0.00 it disappears  :)
Is it meant to work like that, Leo?

I hope there is a better way.. it took ages for me to apply it to all images.. if it's the way you described,  it means I will have to delete the current standard license applied to all images and apply it again which will take ages with the current batch editor..

Leo is there an "apply to all" - button? And can licenses be modified once they are created? If not, could you implement it?
But first of all: Thanks for the premium plugin ... I think it can be improved a bit here and there ... but generally I really, really like it!

In batch editor there is an "apply to all" button but the processor stops responding if there are many images in categories..

When all images are displayed in a category,  it should be split to pages of let's say 60-80 images for optimal results..

I agree it would be great to be able to edit licenses after they are created..

I have quite a few editorial images I'm trying to setup and I like the new feature of being able to produce multiple license types.

Have an issues though. Under the editorial images I'm using that needs to be the default and only license option available. It doesn't work that way though I'm noticing.

When going through process of selecting your image if you don't select editorial license then it defaults to the standard license, I don't have a default license even made. Once you go to the checkout screen it shows that the default license is selected for one of the images and editorial for the other. You can click on the editorial part (Screenshot 2) but on the default license type since there is no default license there is nothing it links to.

Why is this?

I noticed the same when testing a RM license. It doesnt work properly, or at least, its not flexible enough. You cant toggle between licenses. What you can do as a workaround, is create a standard license and add both options to the images. That way the buyer can toggle. But I agree with you. The licenses set up need to be tweaked a bit.

Currently I do have two license types already setup. One for Editorial and the other is a standard RF license. With these editorial images though I do not want the customer to be able to select a standard RF license as these images do not have any model or property release and many of them contain trademarks that wouldn't be suitable for a standard RF license. The only way these should be licensed is under the editorial or else is can create a liability for me.

It does at least allow you to select the editorial license and that works great. It's just it alos allows you to go on without selecting anything as by default on the radio buttons neither of them are selected at which point it defaults to a non existant "standard" license.

Been playing around with the new custom license function.  Pretty cool but I can't quite make it work for me yet. I'd like to be able to click on a radial button to make a selection then click on it again to unselect it rather than have to choose something else.  I don't think that's how radial buttons work in the programming world, however.  Maybe check boxes would be better? Check then uncheck if need be.

Also, I attached a custom license to a single image but now can't get rid of it except by creating another custom license to replace it.  I've deleted the original custom license entirely and used the batch editor to re-edit that one image but that doesn't get rid of it either.  So it seems once a custom license of any sort is attached to an image you can never make it go away?

As others have mentioned it would be cool to be able to edit a custom license once created.  It would also be great to be able to change the ordering of the custom licenses as the order their created in is the order they appear in on the image page.

Another thing that might be helpfull, sorry if it has already been brought up, would be to be able to track who made which type of license was bought. I know using the cart manager at least I can see who bought what and it tells me what size they bought but doesn't let me see which license was bought with it. Was it an extended, exclusive, or what?

I see, i prefer it to show all the images included, so that buyer know what they will get in this collection.

Just an update (fairly important) for whoever is listening -

In the near future I'm going to try to get imagemagick running through the command line. The advantage is better results (especially color) and even less memory use. This will put you on agency level as far as preview quality on the web.

When you update the BASE theme, go to you image processor and tell me if it says (exec enabled) or (exec disabled).

Its unknown if I'm going to make this a premium feature or base...but for now I want to get an idea of who has access to the terminal through php.
in my case it says:
Using GD Library (exec enabled).

Thanks for the notation. I'll post that.

Just an update to everyone, I'm helping jsnover with her "path" issues (she discovered a unique yet legit setup that nobody uses so I have to accommodate that) and Jean's site still needs a little help due the hosting environment they are set up in. After that I'll be gradually putting in as many of these suggestions as possible. You won't see much much these few days otherwise.
