I have just purchased, thought I have done Things the right way, but have now the message

"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I have uploaded the plugin ss-professional
there was another zip file  symbiostock that I couldnt upload on my site

Have upgraded to the version(v2.6.0).

I'm missing a step to step for dummies instructions I think
Jean

of course I was stupid enough to do the same on both of my sites
www.energy-photos.com has the same issue now

Quick note to Leo: I had to bounce back to the previous version. After playing a little with the option to put different licenses/prices the site got messed up. Files did not appear in download are (but paypal IPN going through fine), after putting a file in the cart the prices showed "array" after the currency symbol and sometimes prices did not show up correctly (4 instead of 1).

I think I`ll sit the first few weeks out and then have a look again...

Jean, did you upload the plug in or Symbiostock 2.6 first ?

I would try de-activating the plug in then trying 2.6 again
~~

Spectral Design - I am experimenting with this plug in on my testing site where I have some prices over 1,000.00 - when I add difference licences with additional prices I get  say - 00.01 instead of 1000.00 and assumed it was because of the high figures in Medium and Large sizes w

Not sure about the high numbers....but the fact that it says "(array)" after some of my prices hints to some minor issues in the script...like some expression missing...so probably Leo has to check this again...

@jeancliclac use FTP - change another themes [folder name] to symbiostock (temporarily) - then upload the previous version of SYS,
OR
rename the plugin folder you've uploaded/installed (remove or rename) same way as theme above
It should allow you to enter the WP

I wonder if the "array" is because there is no licence specified?

No, these are not my real prices - only on test site but I can live in hope that someone will make a mistake
Yes, I do know extended is spelt incorrectly :D

Thank you, I'll have to go out for 2 hours; I'll try that when back. Seems to be a new challenge to me....

Can I use the license on more than one site?  I will be making at least 2 sites, one stock, one niche and maybe an event sub-domain for my business site.   All of these sites are for myself - not building for third parties.  I fully support paying for a theme - and comparing this to KTools or others SY is a steal.  I will have a difficult time paying 3 times though :)

it was mentioned somewhere above that the license is "per person" so you can use it on as many sites as you like as long as the sites are yours :)

What i would really like to see, rather than you, leo, justifying your hard work, is a complete list of ALL the functions included in this upgrade. A serious detailed explanation ( no jokes included) would really help me decide whether i need to invest more money into this.

I am not bothered by the fact that you are asking $125 for this. I AM bothered that up until just a couple of days ago you were waffling between free and $75 and now that it is here, you have raised the price! Oh well, it is what it is. I just need to know exactly what i am getting for my money.

Regarding "a complete list of ALL the functions included in this upgrade"

What you may benefit most from (if I'm not mistaken) is a codex. Example: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_post_meta

I'm going to be going through ALL the code of ALL the pugins and creating codex for each one. One you comment/layout the code properly, there is some software that does this job for you.

Here's one function comment in the premium version for instance:

Code: [Select]
/**
 * Generates pop-up license info for a given license.
 *
 * @param array $license
 * The license in question
 *
 * @param array $product_info
 * The product info array
 *
 * @return string the HTML of pop-up box containing license info as it pertains to product
 */

In the end a nice comprehensive list of online files is generated like the one you see on wordpress.

After some bug hunting (and its a good sign that as complex this system is, there's only 3 or 4 small issues) I'm going to get the codex project done before moving onto the next Symbiostock goals.

Now to address the $125 issue...

I'll put off the $125 price for a much longer time, and remove any mention of it for now on the product page. After things have developed more, more functions added, etc, eventually it will go to that price. But for now I do understand. I also appreciate how people are at least a little open minded regarding the justification of the $125 price. Keeping in mind that some photos/illustrations sell for half that price, and take 1/99th the time to produce. Being an illustrator, I have knowledge of both areas and can tell you the price judged in terms of complexity and time is extremely low even at $125.

Internet culture has done to programmers what is presently being done to stock photographers, it just happens that our image business amazingly is the last to take the technology hit. Programmers (as you can see with apps) are badly effected. One day people will be saying "What!? Your charging more than $1 for that image?". In the meantime, I'm rather hoping our combined efforts and some wise decisions brings Symbiostock out of the areas that are sustaining the most economic damage, and maybe a few agencies as well will do the same.

With that said...lets get into the few code issues...

For those who have the crashes - its most likely due to a small one-liner or two of code not playing well with your server. I'll be back after an errand. Please send me admin credentials so I can take care of you quickly.

No, not sure a codex is what i mean. More like a changelog. I want to know what features have been added that would make me want to spend $75 or more for an upgrade. For instance, i think you have enhanced the search. How have you enhanced the search? What can i expect that search to do now that it didnt do in 2.5.6? And so on, for any and all features you have added.

Also, is this an upgrade to the theme, or is this a plugin? I have seen it called both.

I see the confusion.
This is an upgrade. The base theme (also upgraded) continues to be free.

Regarding a feature list, and even a string of help files - those are something I will be doing. But at this point I had to get things out there and running, then when its settled produce the help files (much like I did with the base theme before).

Regarding search, just to elaborate -

It searches keywords, compound words, and even word parts if you wish. Its everything people had asked for. In your "settings" area you can tweak things. You can even set your site to search content and title as well.

Edit - and the important features are mentioned on the product page.

I purchased the upgrade this morning having set up a few things (menus and moving my existing blog around to fit into Symbiostock) using the free 2.6.0 version.

However I can't install it - this is the error I get

Unpacking the package

Installing the theme

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the <code>style.css</code> stylesheet.

Theme install failed.

I thought perhaps I had to re-install the basic symbiostock theme (using the one that came with the upgrade) but that too failed:

Unpacking the package

Installing the theme

Destination folder already exists. /home5/digitdt6/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/

Theme install failed.

I had installed Clean Theme 2 as the child theme last night - could that have caused the above failures?

I haven't removed any CSS files (or edited any) so I don't know why something is thought to be missing.

I have WordPress 3.6.0. This is my site (so far)

http://www.digitalbristles.com/

I have no idea what's wrong - any clues would be very helpful

Thats simply saying the destination directory already exists.

To install the new version, you must delete the old one first. That also goes for plugins. Also they do not have to be unzipped - you upload the zip file itself.

Let me know how it works out. I'll be here all day on top of this thread. :D

I deleted the Symbiostock theme and then tried again to install the zip file for the upgrade (ss-professional.zip). I got the same error about the missing style.css file

Then it dawned on me that perhaps I had to install the symbiostock.zip that came with the upgrade first, then the ss-professional.zip. I was able to install the base zip file but then the ss-professional still failed.

It would really help if you had some detailed directions for what needs to be done after purchase - nothing said to delete the old theme first (perhaps that's standard WordPress stuff, but I know just enough to be dangerous). What needs to be done and in what order to get the upgraded package working. Even a couple of notes on the purchase receipt would be good

No need. I'm taking care of it today. Theres just a few minor issues, and you guys are pointing them out. The few mentioned in this thread will be fixed today, including yours. I'll see if I can duplicate your problem. If I can't I may need an admin to your site.

I'll set you up if you like. Can you make me an admin account?

Go to users->add new

Simply make an account for me with a name and random password for leo[at]symbiostock.com.

Once I set you up I'll let you know what I did.

It sounds as if you're trying to install ss-professional.zip as a theme, but it's a plugin for the standard 2.6.0 theme

I tried to duplicate your problem.

When you add prices they need to be in the format of 1000.00 for both the license and the image. The decimal .00 format  is always needed. If your doing that and its still giving you an issue let me know.

Good observation!

BTW when/if you make me an account it has to be an "ADMIN" account, which is a dropdown option.
