I deleted the Symbiostock theme and then tried again to install the zip file for the upgrade (ss-professional.zip). I got the same error about the missing style.css file

It sounds as if you're trying to install ss-professional.zip as a theme, but it's a plugin for the standard 2.6.0 theme

I was - how am I to know when I get two zip files that one is a theme and one a plugin unless the file names or some sort of instruction tells me that?

Thanks for the hint - that worked. I'm pretty good at plugging through obtuse stuff, but the lack of clear directions makes things much tougher than they need to be. Perhaps Leo can include some words on the receipt page or change the file names?

Obtuse, love that word because of Shawshank Redemption when Andy stuck it to the warden

A note for Leo on the premium upgrade. I changed the watermark on three files I uploaded. The dialog that said what had been processed was always one image behind - it was doing the right processing, but giving me the title and other info about the previous image.

Also, I'd love to have an option for "all" images to get watermarks redone in addition to searching for specific images to reprocess (which means I'm doing it category by category). If at some later point I just want to change the watermark for everything, it'd be nice to do that with one command vs. many.

So you want a "apply to all" option? Thats no problem and I can probably have it done this week. Depending on your host though it might stop you after 30 seconds or so.

From a user point of view I thought that would be useful. I have Bluehost and if they might not allow all at once, it'd be nice if Symbiostock could do all with one command from me but in batches of 30 (or whatever might keep the hosting company happy).

This is an upgrade. The base theme (also upgraded) continues to be free.

So are you saying that the base Symbiostock theme can be upgraded for free to 2.60?

If so, where can we find the download?

Quick note to Leo: I had to bounce back to the previous version. After playing a little with the option to put different licenses/prices the site got messed up. Files did not appear in download are (but paypal IPN going through fine), after putting a file in the cart the prices showed "array" after the currency symbol and sometimes prices did not show up correctly (4 instead of 1).

I think I`ll sit the first few weeks out and then have a look again...

No need. I'm taking care of it today. Theres just a few minor issues, and you guys are pointing them out. The few mentioned in this thread will be fixed today, including yours. I'll see if I can duplicate your problem. If I can't I may need an admin to your site.

Leo

I had the same issue with purchase going through but no customer file to download. I went through deactivating plugins to no avail. Finally just deactivated the ss-professional plugin and left the 2.6.0 theme installed and the sale went through and the file was in the customer file management area for download.

FYI... While troubleshooting I noticed the cartmanager plugin did not see anything in the users cart nor any sales for that user. Once I deactivated the ss-professional plugin and completed a sale the cartmanager saw it in the cart and saw the sale.

Thanks for the comments.

The 2.6.0 theme should be prompting you that an upgrade is ready in your theme area. If its not let me know.

I swear I saw the 2.6 update this morning when I logged into my WP admin area but now it's not there anymore.

Leo:

Thanks for the quick response.

Yes, it was prompting me earlier today, but now the prompt has vanished for some reason.

That solution will probably work for many Symbiostockers, but in my case I have made a lot of code changes, so if I did the automated upgrade it would overwrite everything that I have done.  Can you make the upgrade available on GitHub (or somewhere else) at some point, so that I can merge the new version with my code changes?

Blessings.

when I try to update the Network tab (http://www.digitalbristles.com/blog/wp-admin/admin.php?page=symbiostock-control-options) with my avatar and square site logo I get the following warning message

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home5/digitdt6/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/inc/classes/network-manager/network-manager.php on line 1039
Network info updated.

Image info info updated.

I'm also still seeing the ladybug logo on my image pages. Not sure if this is a 2.6.0 bug or a premium upgrade bug?

just purchased the upgrade..

Leo, as we are not asked to register, how can we download the files again if for some reason we break something with the plugin? I didn't receive an email confirmation with links apart from paypal payment confirmation..

This is one problem I was able to duplicate and I'm fixing it to have it working like the previous process that the base theme had. You should have an update available tonight.

Thats odd. I thought you were talking about your own download page issues.

Your the only one who didn't get the download apparently. Please send me an email leo[at]symbiostock.com and I'll give you the packages.

I just had the chance to read through the thread and I am glad you clarified this because I kept seeing this referred to as a Premium Upgrade, which I thought meant theme, but then a bunch of people kept saying plug-in.

Finally I get that two things are being released here.  :)

No, he's not.

I was able to download from the web page with my "receipt" but I was waiting for an e-mail with download links or some such and don't have any (purchase was 3 hours ago). I did check my spam folder and there's nothing there. I did get the PayPal confirmation for the payment but nothing else from Symbiostock

I sent you an email..

I did download the file.. but left the page and can't see it again.. It means I have no back up if I screw it up..

I would prefer to have access to my purchase history.. That is why I advocated "registration on SY sites" in many threads when the issue came up and was discussed here..

If this plugin is a paid for Release Candidate, shouldnt it be less buggy? I have seen too many problems,  I got worried, I am going to hold off upgrading for now.

Are you planning on releasing a more stable version soon, Leo?

I see the confusion.
This is an upgrade. The base theme (also upgraded) continues to be free.

Regarding a feature list, and even a string of help files - those are something I will be doing. But at this point I had to get things out there and running, then when its settled produce the help files (much like I did with the base theme before).

Regarding search, just to elaborate -

It searches keywords, compound words, and even word parts if you wish. Its everything people had asked for. In your "settings" area you can tweak things. You can even set your site to search content and title as well.

Edit - and the important features are mentioned on the product page.

Thanks, just went over and took a look.

the plugin appears to be stable..

the reason I purchased it now is to support development.. I don't like donating just for the sake of donating.. this is more like it..

in it's current state, the only feature I will use is the ability to set up "Extended Licenses".. other features do not really appeal to me personally.. I wouldn't mind if they didn't exist..

features I am interested in are:

- a page for sales stats..
- ability to set download expiration after a certain period..

as I said, purchased it for supporting development and hopefully get these features :)

And I still have questions.

Now that I know that there are two things going on 1) update to theme - 2.6 and 2) Premium Paid Plug-in, my question is:

It looks like the new batch editor, search, license management, twitter management and collections come with the $75 plug-in. Is this correct?

What was changed in the main theme? In other words, when I update from within wordpress to 2.6, what can I expect to change? What has been added/improved?

Some more info on the failed purchase bug. I did a sandbox purchase and on return to the download area the image was still in the cart, and no amount of refreshing would shift it.

I went to Cart Manager and processed the cart for downloading, but it failed with the error message:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home1/traveno8/public_html/picturemojo/wp-content/plugins/ss-cart-manager/functions.php on line 152

Edit - Tried to process again and it failed with no error message...
