Good question. I saw that yesterday and was confused by that.

I wish the batch editor had a "Select all" option. It's really cumbersome when you have to click 50 times to edit 50 images.

It does. Its just really minimal.

If you click the big number that changes, it automatically deselects or re-selects.

The system was sort of built on trading information clutter for "know-how". So once you know how to use things, the tools don't get in the way.

Leo, I noticed that BIG "O" and yes it's a "select all/none" button..

but in my case it can select only 800 or none.. When I want to select let's say 100 images and leave the rest, I can't.. so to batch edit 100 images, the only option left is to select them 1 by 1..

it would be great if images displayed in pages.. when 800 images are selected, the processor stops responding at some point anyway, so having 800 on the same page doesn't really do any good..

I think how "radio buttons of license options" function should be improved for a better user experience..

It maybe very confusing for some buyers.. here is a demonstration:
http://www.cidepix.com/image/hexagon-sphere-with-rainbow-colors/

when you go to this page please click on the radio button right beside the Extended License option.. it does "nothing"

I believe it has to do something..

the perfect thing for it to do would be: update prices on all sizes (apply EL upgrade as soon as it is clicked.. and when you click back to SL, the upgraded EL price should be subtracted)

and when you click on any of the resolutions, it should then reflect the price below and on the download button..

the buyer should see his/her options instantly.. not by clicking resolutions one by one.. and even then it is only reflected below and on the download button.. the price should change on all rows imo..

you can adjust the number displayed by setting the number to the left of the search box -- you could then select 100 at a time & de-select the few you don't want to edit, etc

I tried that and that number did nothing for me..

I think that number only works when you perform a search..

I want to select let's say the 100 of 800, then the 2nd 100 and then the third without confusing things..

if there is a way to do what I want without searching, I would be very happy to know, but I couldn't find it..

well, you could do a search in bulk edit with 100 / page, then go to the last page and do your edits; now going to the 7th page nothing will have changed

Yes but only files that contain the searched word will show up.. you are bound to miss some files..

Just an update (fairly important) for whoever is listening -

In the near future I'm going to try to get imagemagick running through the command line. The advantage is better results (especially color) and even less memory use. This will put you on agency level as far as preview quality on the web.

When you update the BASE theme, go to you image processor and tell me if it says (exec enabled) or (exec disabled).

Its unknown if I'm going to make this a premium feature or base...but for now I want to get an idea of who has access to the terminal through php.

Leo, where does it actually show exec enabled or disabled? In the process uploads page it shows
"Using ImageMagick. info: Image Processing."

Hi Leo may be you missed out this message, i think to include draft images in batch edit search result is important. I would like to use batch edit for new upload images before publish.

I managed to create collection for sell follow your step, but batch edit can only found published image, I do not want to publish the collection main image before setup the collection price etc. I think the batch edit search tool should also include draft images in result so that we can make batch edit for new image before publish.

Here's a little snippet from the collections pop-up. I have a feeling its sitting out of view. Let me know if the directions posted in the "Collections" tab are lacking clarity.  I can change it if needed. This is what the result should look like (if you desire to dress it up a little)

About Collections  Collections are ways to sell entire "sets" of images under one main "preview" image. While a collection is technically a type of category, you make it "sellable" by attaching it to a main preview image.

  • Create a collection using options in the "Collection" (this) panel.
  • Assign images to the collection by searching, selecting, and choosing "Add Selected Images", and pushing "save", similar to the "Categories" panel.
  • In the batch editor search results, find an image you wish to use as the "Main" image representing the collection. Click "Edit".
  • Be sure to modify the price to that which you feel properly reflects the combined worth of all the images, with obvious bulk discounts or special license considerations.
  • In that Edit Image panel you will find a dropdown to assign the collection. Choose the desired set of images that will be available with this purchase.
  • You can unassign an image from hosting a collection by visiting your collection panel, and clicking the X corresponding to the collection preview image in the list.
  • TIP: For the "main image" you should make a collage, software box, or similar type preview to visually imply a "set" of images. You can create and upload one of these with the intention of turning it into a "collection" preview.
It seems like a lot, but you will get used to it fast. Its the simplest way to implement a valuable system like this without over-complicating things.

Yes I had gotten that - the system uses the same search results as public ones, so I just have to set up a little alteration to allow "drafts" if the user is in the admin panel.

The newest versions are are available and finally github is current again.

Premium 1.1.7 - Minor bug fixes +

Installs Cart Plugin (recent and compatible)
Installs Sitemap Plugin (was intended to be included with premium)

To get these installed, simply "toggle" the plugin by deactivating/activating it. From there on updates will be automatic.

Base 2.6.3 - Minor bug fixes +

In image processing area you can now determine if you have "terminal" access, which will determine whether or not you are able to use future enhanced imagemagick capabilities.

Awesome. Let me make a POLL so we can get an idea of who will be using it. Be sure to update it.

Also from this point on since things are getting nice and stable I'm going to start implementing people's wishes. Thanks for upgrading :D

Using ImageMagick (exec enabled). for me :)

Any chance you could take a look at the bug which has been around a while now where when browsing pages of images the same images gets repeated on multiple pages? (it has been mentioned a few times in a few threads by a few people). Think it became a problem when image ranking was implemented.

Can anyone give me a step by step on setting up Licenses please? I have tried and can't get anything to show up on the product page. I must be missing something.

Latest plugin version and theme 2.6.3

Creating Licences (as I understand it and from memory as have accidentially locked myself out of site, I know what I did wrong this time just need to find solution :) )

1.  Create your new licences in WP pages, publish and make a note of the URL

2.  Under Symbiostock - Licences
Choose type - Standard/Extended/Custom , give it a name, add the URL as per No. 1 and chose where it will go Over/Under/Etc
if you are adding an extra fee such as for extended then click the Yes box and fill in the prices.  Add a note in the next box to briefly describe the licence (this will appear in the pop-up when someone clicks on the little licence icon once published) - then click Save and you will have a new licence.  You cannot edit this only delete and start again.   Repeat as required for further licences.  Save.

3.  Go to Symbiostock - Batch Edit
Enter keyword of images you wish to add licences to and click the Search box (NOT enter/return) and those images will show up.  Either click the last number or select some by clicking on the images
Select the first option at the top - Settings & Prices
Scroll down to the bottom and select the licence(ses) you are going to add to that image
Click Save and hopefully those licences should now be added to your images

I will modify this post later to add correct terminology
