Congrats! I'm surprised that self-hosted still doesn't rank in the polls. Start voting people.

What do the poll results actually mean?
It is not percentages so is it amounts of money in 100 or 1000's or ??

101 is a very small number to have any effect on the polls I think..

I thought there were two criteria in the polls - the first was that more than 50 people had to report results against an agency for it to appear in the lists with earnings ratings. Then the amount of the rating just depends on what you fill in as the earnings that month. So, if 50 of us reported earning $5, we would appear down at the bottom in the low earnings.

So all it takes is for us to report, even if it is zero

That was my thought that all it takes is 50 people, but maybe it works differently. I apologize too if I highjacked this thread.

I have released my new Symbiostock site www.millionstock.com (http://www.millionstock.com)

How can I add it you the search engine? In "Symbiostock Network - Associates and Status" I made the activation but I cannot see my site on the list.

Could you help me? Thanks

Mine are not new ones though but re-uploads.  Unfortunately most of them do not have descriptions as I did not need them so it seems to be hard going with yeost as well

Why are you deleting images and uploading them again? If file is missing from symbiostock_rf, have a look at thumbnail name, for example "1088-minipic.jpg". Then use ftp to upload big file to symbiostock_rf folder. After uploading (or before, if you like), change its name to 1088.jpg and that's all.

I had just worked that out (didn't work though I don't think when I tried it a few minutes ago) .  Most of my files - 1,102 disappeared during the JH downtime at the beginning of August but I did not realise as they still showed up.  That was the cause of the "white" writing and inability to edit images I had been asking about.   Unfortunately I have been deleted most of the missing images as they were only thumbnails and watermarked images anyway.

Thanks for the tip.
I guess that would work also if one wants to upload an improved image version without the trouble to go through the "Process" procedure.

Yes, yes, and yes.

Yes on all counts cept my host doesn't read all my keywords and I have to go in delete the read keywords then paste in all my keywords.

I suggest double checking if it reads all of your IPTC data just in case your host does the same as mine.

Yes, and after that you can go to Bulk Actions->Reprocess, to make improvements visible in thumbnail and preview.

Unfortunately (for me) this does not work, the thumbnail and watermarked version were still present, I uploaded main image again, adjusted number, did reprocess via bulk edit but nothing changed so it looks as if there is no short cut

If you don't mind that I'm keeping 100% you can upload to my agency ... come on, it's not a such big difference to that what some of the big players do  :D

Okay, seriously now: I don't think that any of the 106 is accepting contributors work ... but you can easily join Symbiostock by creating your own site.

Okay, I'll give you 1%, but after some months I will cut it down to 0,5%  ;D

I'm wondering about any possible implications of representing other contributors on one of the Symbiostock sites. Technically, that would qualify as an agency.
Could some of the main microstock sites (SS, IS, DT, FT) use it to as a reason to terminate your account? (the SYM host's account with them, not the additional contributors accounts)?

Dan would know, he managed Warm Pictures and was a contributor

Unless you have a exclusive agreement with them I doubt you would get removed. I do know I have gotten sales from the Symbiostock site on some of the agencies. Right after someone viewed photos they were purchased at a angency.

I realize that having a Symbiostock site for selling your own image is not an issue.
However, I was wondering about a possible "conflict of interest" problems with your other agencies when you decide to run a "small agency, accepting and promoting images from other contributors (same scenario as Dan did with his Warmpictures site).
