Title: File names and symbiostock

I have read sometimes ago that renaming files is important in symbiostock and in general. I cant find the thread anymore. Can someone confirm this?
Also how to write sentences as names: Is it better to names files as "cat on a roof.jpg" or is it better to use "cat_on_a_roof.jpg"

I think it is irrelevant what you name them as the names are changed to numbers during processing

Symbiostock renames files. Big files (only for buyers) and thumbnails have only numbers (thumbnail has "minipic" word also), but preview images names are taken from title in IPTC.
Example from your site:
http://stockabily.com/wp-content/uploads/symbiostock_rf_content/4887-porto-cat.jpg (http://stockabily.com/wp-content/uploads/symbiostock_rf_content/4887-porto-cat.jpg)
This image has name taken from title in IPTC. You probably put there "Porto cat", and  on image page it was also "Porto cat" after processing, but you changed it to "Cat on roof in Porto". For SEO it is better to put longer title already in IPTC. Your cat could have been "4887-cat-on-roof-in-porto.jpg" then.

Thank you both for this info; so if I understand well; the file name doesnt matter much, but the title of the picture is where we shall put some efforts; and this should be there preferably before before uloading!

Exactly. File name irrelevant. Title - very important that its targeted/unique.

you can upload, then change it while it's still in draft; it's publishing that sets the title
