I have to divert threads regarding Symbiostock issues to www.Symbiostock.org. Overall though its quite simple - you input your paypal email address into the settings field required. You should also ensure you have a professional-level paypal account (basic will not work)

Hi leo,

do you mean we should discuss symbistock on other forum instead here?

i am able to find where to put the paypal info, but there is no way we can get it done by basic paypal account?

I will prefer to deal with only basic paypal account.

what is the reason we need a professional level account? ( i guess we have to pay for it?)

by the way, can i test the purchase by my own paypal?(buyer and seller same address)

The www.Symbiostock.org site is the best place to find recent discussion topics relating to setting up your site and troubleshooting if you're running into anything where you need some assistance.  I think that most of us who are on Symbiostock are trying to keep the tech help and set up discussions over there.

A quick answer to your question though is that you can probably get by with a personal premium account on Paypal as several people are successfully using that.  I don't think they will let you test purchase from your own account.

To use API's accept credit cards and numerous other reason you need a business account.
There is a thing called paypal sandbox you can use to test things but I've found it a bit confusing.  I often just have 2 paypal accounts and give myself a refund after making a test purchase.  You can open a business and a personal paypal account.

i notice i can upgrade to premium and business account.

is it a must to use a premium and business account? it seems involve monthly charge..

basically i want to keep the online site a passive income option that i don't want to spend something if not necessary.

I used a personal paypal account successfully for months. Only because of a technical glitch somewhere between the theme and paypal did i sign up for a business account, and i do not have to pay for that. Only when i make a sale is a percentage taken out from the transaction.

I was never able to get the paypal sandbox working correctly, so i just went live and all has worked well.

I have a Premier account and there are no monthly monthly charges.

I believe that you can't use a Personal account because they don't allow the use of debit or credit cards.

I believe that a Personal account can't accept funds from debit or credit cards.

I used credit and debit cards with my personal account all the time. Maybe they have just recently changed that? As of a couple of months ago i was using them.

I meant that a Personal account can't accept funds from others that use credit or debit cards.  You can use credit or debit cards to send funds with any account.

There is also for sure a limit on how much you can receive in a personal account.

The only fees are when you receive money.  They are higher than in a personal account.

I am not sure what you mean, but i would purchase an image as a buyer, click pay now on my sy site, go to paypal, and pay for the image with a credit card not associated with my paypal acct as a seller, and i could purchase it with no problem.

You can have two accounts - personal for payments from stock sites and premium or business for Symbiostock.
