I've noticed that Symbiostock is running quite stable, and people are helping one another quite well. Also it's efforts in networking and SEO appears to be having results as well, seeing images rapidly climb in search rankings. If my prototype site
www.clipartillustration.com can see good sales, I'm certain your sites which have both professional images and appearance will do even better. Besides that, many of you already have an audience. In fact, while I was writing this post I saw a 15 dollar sale go through, and yesterday a 53 dollar one. And I just sell stick figures and 3d robots.
Symbiostock Growth is Based on Working TogetherSymbiostock is not about programming or images. Its about people and a way of doing things. Your first major steps in setting up a Symbiostock site is one of generosity and trust: who will you link to or network with? If a customer finds a better option, you are prepared to let them leave your site. Your network friends are doing the same for you, and you are getting much through-traffic. Webmasters struggle for backlinks. With Symbiostock its practically your website's birthright. So its not programs, its people.
I've noticed people are also advancing in how well they handle the technology. Many issues are solved with everyone helping each other. At this rate, success is not even a question. Also I've noticed we have some budding technicians/programmers who are starting to get familiar with the code.
Knowlege Base, Tech Support, Child ThemesSymbiostock is more than selling images. I've noticed (seeing above)
some wonderful child themes are being created. You do realize you can be
selling this sort of work, don't you? Also - tech support. Isn't it fun? Don't you like helping?
We also need a knowledge base. Its an open invitation - who wants to start building one on the main website? I know we have some scholarly authors here.
With everything you do in Symbiostock which benefits others, please make sure there is some path backward to profiting yourself as well. If you donate to the knowledge base, there should be an attractive author box with a banner leading back to you. If you wish to sell themes to future webmasters, we should set up a system on that.
I personally think all Symbiostock conversation should remain here on Microstock group. But to save people much work (and maybe even get the main site more valuable) I was hoping a number of you could become
authors on Symbiostock, and actually set up tutorials on things like setup, design strategies, SEO, and the list goes on. I would like to create a nice encyclopedic theme for its codex as well so your writing looks good.
Much of the power in this project is not coding, its you. You helping others, you being helped. It ends up looking like this:

)
Without a doubt, Symbiostock is only for motivated people. But I do believe we have plenty of them and our start-up can be considered fairly successful.
Please contact me or comment regarding any ways you'd like to help Symbiostock as a whole - Child theme designers/stylers, authors, tech support, etc.
Also, to show you how easy it is, let me suggest these resources:

It appears I will have about 3 days a week to give to Symbiostock. I have some bigger responsabilities which finally I am able to pursue thanks to this project taking off. I hope the next months of Symbiostock's development comes not only from me, but from
YOU.
To the awesome new Symbiostock community:
Thanks for everything.
