impossible to predict and the experience of others doesn't help a lot -- it depends on your portfolio, how well it's indexed by google, how popular your subjects are, how competitive they are, etc, etc

concentrate on SEO and networking and you'll improve your chances

i'm watching with interest, and also would be good to know how many files you had (though of course this is less relevant as you could have 1000 files but only 5 different subjects).

I spent first time uploading 1200 images. Now im going through them one by o e working on seo. This will take a while. I think though my biggest nail is that my images are indexed by the agencies and so I'm competing with myself. The only way to solve the problem is to just do exclusive content for sys

For the time being, I'm doing much the same thing.

Exclusive RF images to my Symbio site, no other RF uploads anywhere, and RM images to Alamy.

It's a tough choice because I'm having a remarkable few months* on SS but I need to resist temptation, so that I can build my Symbio site.

*NB: "...a remarkable few months..." for me is probably equivalent to a "what?" for you but hey, it's all relative...

EDIT: I typed something other than "what?" but the Leafinator wants to keep things clean.

My first sale was on the day I launched the site..

I installed SY on an active domain, that is why the sale wasn't a surprise.. (previously had another wordpress script to sell stock and it worked OK until the better option arrived)

even though images may be with the agencies, I was getting about 20% of them indexed
