New feature with FAA: integration of your FAA stuff via iframe. Got the code line from FAA, installed the Wordpress plugin "iframe", created a page "Prints", pasted the code (and had to remodel it bit according to iframe-plugin syntax), added that page to my main menu, and here's the result:

http://www.imagoborealis.com/prints/

That's great! I've added one to my site as well, but it show the images in the order they were uploaded (I think). Have you found any way to modify what is shown when you first open that page and see the FAA results? It would have been great to show the galleries in order rather than the actual images.

Steve

Exactly my thoughts! I'd rather show the galleries first, too. But I don't think it is possible   ...yet. Maybe if we campaign of this option in FAA forums they put it in (can't be that hard to do).

The images are shown in the customised order set on the Artwork tab on the main FAA site, so you can control the display from there. An option for Galleries would be good though.

That fixed it - thanks. You can set the placement of each image pretty nicely using that approach.

WP bakery looks like the perfect solution to design a homepage:) Did you buy it already or you are still running the trial version?

Its awesome to see people rocking their site's out. I was wondering how people designed those beautiful homepages so quickly too.

good stuff pilens..

btw, don't get me wrong but your logo makes my eyes hurt  :D

like it's from 1998.. it's just that as a designer I can't stand bad logos.. you don't have to have a logo designed, but you would be better off picking a plain font and just use that..

Good:
For European Members -
I have tried a few cookie permission plug ins and this one seems simplest/easiest to use

UK Cookie Consent

Not good:
sweet captcha - intermittent use on computer and does not work with android

It is free - at least the version I use. You need to get a code from them, but that then works on all your wordpress blogs. Catches a lot of spam comments on my normal blog.

The one I looked at was expensive (to my mind) for commercial use - and I think they might class us as commercial, wonder if they check

I would love to be to show the "latest images" in two columns in my side bar, instead of the single column that it is now. There is currently a lot of unused space.

I'm using "all in one Favicon" to set my personal Favicon for my site. It's very easy, just go "plugins" " "add new" so search/install/activate.  Go "settings" and upload your favicon.ico file.

To create a favicon.ico, go to http://www.favicon.cc/ and follow instructions.

I wanted to style my pages so they were 2 columns, with the main content in the left column and my blurb about search and purchasing in the right column. I found a wordpress plug-in called TablePress. It works great! See a sample here:

http://www.cathyslifestockphotos.com/about/

I actually used 3 columns, with one being a small spacer column between the two major ones.

Here is a link to TablePress:

Hi,

Beautiful site !

Just one question, what Page template do you use to get rid of the box "leave a reply" ?

Hi Chris

Take a look at this thread - http://www.microstockgroup.com/symbiostock-technical-support/stupid-wordpress-question/  - that should help answer your query (and I thought it was quite a sensible question) :)

Don't forget to add your site to the "what are you looking for in a match" in the networking section when you are ready

Thanks!

I think its called page full width (im at work and cant check). But you might have to turn off comments to get rid of all the blog- type stuff. Search the symbiostock section, i know there are a couple of threads on how to do that.

I have recently started experimenting with Easy Media Pro http://ghozylab.com to use with footage. I have the paid version, but they do have a "Lite" version. This may be an alternative answer to avoiding youtube for footage. :D
