godaddy hosting
mtkang:
hi guys,
I check many company and it seems every hosting company got different plan and different price..
i got a godaddy account so I am thinking i may just get a hosting deal with them.
i saw this page.
http://www.symbioguides.com/knowledgebase/symbiostock-hosting/
so is godaddy ok to host the symbiostock site?
but actually what is a hosting company? is it like a server space for us to put our images in internet?
ajt:
Yes, hosting company gives server space. You can place all images and site files there and assign to it domain name (you can buy it also from godaddy).
Some people use godaddy hosting and it works for them, so it should be ok, but maybe wait a bit for someone with account there.
BTW, Godaddy offers linux and windows hosting, for symbiostock linux is better.
mtkang:
ya i saw the option to choose operating system, linux or windows.
so i should choose linux?
mtkang:
hi guys, so godaddy hosting is okay for symbiostock? what is the different of the system i choose? windows or linux? is it possible to change it after?
ShazamImages:
I (along with a bunch of others) use GoDaddy (w/ Linux O/S) for my Symbiostock website and have had no major issues.
There is another thread that lists which web hosting service people have used. You should look for that thread and read it.
Also, the Symbiostock forums have basically moved to Symbiostock.org, so you should probably post there from now on.
