Title: What size do i need
Post by: pyrst on September 07, 2013, 01:37
Hi am trying to register my new domain, and was wondering what webspace i should go for? I have used one.com in the past, and they have been really good. Their starting offer of 5 gb is for free for one year. Then they go up to 30 gb for 2.60 euro per month. What do i need? I dont have a big portfolio, hoping to have 1000 pictures by the end of the year

You could start at the bottom and scale up. Its the safest. Just make sure the host is able to run Symbiostock.

Make sure the free plan offers PHP 5 and a MySQL database.

........... and that it is not covered in adverts leading your potential clients to agencies instead of buying from your site  :)

I have about 500 images online now and just the symbiostock-rf folder is 4GB.
So, I would say, 5GB won't take you very far.
