Not sure what happened, but going up to the new 2.2.7 version of Symbio knocked out all of my network connections. If you were in my network, post your link and I will attempt to add you back.

Honestly I'm not sure how to add anybody in 2.2.7 as the Networks tab is totally different than before. Help wanted?  :-\

Yep! It knocks down all previous connections.
There are two ways to add connections:

1. Type in the URL
2. Upload their Symbiocard (this one results in an email being sent to them to notify)

Only v2 sites can network with eachother.

Other than that everything should be working except a few odd instances(most likely won't apply to you) which I'm working out now.

OK I think I've got it straightened out. It's a little confusing because the big "+" icon is greyed out, so it looks inactive. But if you click it, you can add to the network.

I have my first 4 members added back. Steve Heap - I can't seem to add you. I'm guessing you need to upgrade to v2 to get us linked up again.

Thanks Leo.

It looks like you can get symbiocards by typing the person's url then /symbiocard.csv

I just figured that out. Going to try and add you, Dan.

If you go to their author page the big button will allow you to download their card...or just adding their URL to network box.

Well, maybe that doesn't work. When I went to dpstockphotos.com/symbiocard.csv I got an oops that page cant be found.

Maybe Dan is still updating because I don't see an Author Page or area under one of his photos like I do on my site. I will add his url in the box and see what happens.

In Users>Your Profile, scroll to bottom...did you fill out at least some of that info? Maybe that's what triggers the .csv file?

http://cathyslifestockphotos.com  shows as my only network lin k  but when I go to scan network in marketing it says:

Getting site: http://www.flashstockphoto.com...
Success

Getting site: http://www.clipartillustrations.com...
Success

Getting site: http://photominingstock.com/earth...
Success

and these 3  then show up in http://cascoly-images.com/pix/symbiostock-network-directory/

is something left over from v1.3.7 that's picking these up?

plus, there's no way to add another network site afer the first one

If you hover over the plus sign (its grayed out) it will become active, then click and add more

Logos are loaded again. Should be working properly again.

That confused me too. Finally I just tried to click it, and hey, it worked.

I have been trying all morning to add people to my network and cannot get it to take anything.

Here's what I am doing...
I go to Leo's Network Directory
Click on someones Author Page
Click on Attributes and Symbiocard
Click on Get xxxxxx's Symbiocard
Page opens xxx.com/symbiocard.csv
I copy this Url and paste it into the first box under Linked Sites on my Network Page
Under name I give it a short description
Click the Blue + sign
and repeat with another site.

I check Update Symbiocards box
Scroll down

Tick Activate under Use Symbiostock Network

Check both boxes for  Update public network info and Update image info CSV.
Then click on Save Changes.

A few seconds pass - seems like it is updating - page refreshes and nothing has been added.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Steve

Steve,  Either copy the site address and paste that in then update
OR
download (save) Symbiocard to your computer and then upload it from there

i'm having similar problems -- resetting the extended network list deletes all, and after that nothing can add a network -- even typing in the url

Is everything worked out? Thanks for tolerating "beta" quirks. Slowly but surely I'll simplifiy and fix all the major features. Some things are not extremely obvious.

Wow!! - I've been away for about 4 weeks doing real work (you know, the sort that pays real money...) and I am trying desperately to catch back up to the leaders.

I have updated http://www.backyardstockphotos.com to the latest release (2.3.7) and am trying to integrate all the new features. I think I have created a Symbiocard, but I think it probably only includes me so far. I've just added Dan's site, but the search results don't show that yet. I notice that I now have 3 versions of the Network Directory page - something I am doing is creating multiple pages, but so far, nothing is showing.

I need to do some more research in the various posts, but feel free to add me back and see how my site looks from the outside.

Steve
