Anyone have thoughts on the max # of network connections to have? I'm around 10 now and I am starting to get concerned about page loading times.

in the earlier versions of 2.x there was a 10 site limit -- with real world searches, that'll probably be ok -- ie, most searches are more specific than ;animal; or /dog/
eventually I plan to post graphs showing the actual network and we can see graphically what's happening

Do I understand that correctly that the more network connections you have and a buyer searches not only your images but the ones across your network it takes more time to find the images across those connections?
I'm asking since my knowledge of how things like this work is extremely limited and the more I dive into doing this the more I would like to understand.
I feel like I hijacked the thread...sorry.

Its all on the same subject so don't worry.
Actually I was thinking of making ALL connections load after the initial page load, making it no slower than your site naturally is. Once they are loaded, they are cached, and next one is hard-wired for however long your cache lasts.
I never mentioned it - but you are limited to 10 yes. Then there are 5 spots open for the "promoted keyword" assuming they are not already in your network. So 15 in all. Pretty crazy huh :D
Hub sites will make that easier.
edit - misspelling

Thanks Leo. I understand it better now. Can't wait to get it set up and working properly.

the search logs will give us the data to see how these various links work out
