I have a little question..

there are 1641 images on my site and the sitemap generated 1640..

so why is that "1" image not included.. is it because something is broken with that image?

It's weird that only 1 image is left out..

Maybe it's your site logo or your author image that's of course not included in the image sitemap.

when I said 1641 images.. I didn't mean just any media.. I meant products for sale.. so it's not the site logo.. I have 1641 images that are for sale..

Yeah, mines showing one less image than there actually is too.  I don't think that was the case until I upgraded to the latest version of the symbiostock image sitemap.

Mine is spot on.

Question: I saw that the Symbiostock sitemap XML file contains the entire image description including outgoing links to other sites (YOAST made me do it...). Is that ok?

here also missing 1 image in Leo's sitemap.
because I have 56 images I was able to puzzle it out.
I found which image was missing, uploaded it again.
that image is in the sitemap now, but missing another one.
maybe Leo can find out why it is doing all-1 ?

kind regards,
Sndor Gra

I'll check into that. Part of becoming a programmer often involves forgetting basic math.

Larry: One dollar.
Prof. Sedletz: You don't know your arithmetic.
Larry: You don't know my father!

hi Leo, can this plugin auto detect my content description and apply it to meta description? I am using Yoast seo now, but I have to manually copy my text from content to my meta description.

I already got Leo to implement Excerpts a while back which allows the Yoast plugin to then do this process for you.

Just go to the Yoast Plugin, Titles & Meta tab, then under Post Types find "Symbiostock Images". In the meta description template part put "%%excerpt%%" (without the "") and it will auto generate it for you. Just be aware, it doesnt visually show up in the meta description box on the image edit page, it just applies it in the background. You may need to tick "Excerpts" to be shown on the Screen Options dropdown on the image edits page.

Hope that helps.

I don't have Excerpts on my Screen Options list. Why?

Hi ezeepics,

You can find your images and urls already indexed by google with the following command on google.com

site:ezeepics.com (there's already many images indexed  ;) )

Yes, there is ezeepics because www.ezeepics.com is with Photoshelter. But if I search "ezeepics" on Google I get only 4 pages and www.food.ezeepics.com which is my symbiostock site doesn't appear in any of 4.
Normally shoud appear between the first results if indexed correctly. When I search ezeepics I should have first www.ezeepics.com (and this it is) and second or third result www.food.ezeepics.com (the subdomain - but this is not)

Try the command site:food.ezeepics.com

Many image appears on Google images and 577 urls on Google web.

It takes time for images being indexed. My site is online since june 2013 and 75% of my images are indexed by google so don't worry  :)

Too easy to search with food.ezeepics.com  :) I need my images to appear between the first results, that's why I'm working now on SEO. Someone can tell me how do I make in order to have in the url of images the words "stock-photo" in the place of the word "image"? Type http://food.ezeepics.com/stock-photo/cupcakes-selective-focus/ ? Also what about images ID's? Someone knows how to add them?

I wouldn't worry about IDs, but assuming you JUST uploaded the image you can change its SLUG in the editing area. Its located just under the title field. CAUTION - don't change the slug (url bit) after the image has been indexed. Its like changing your phone number after the girl is finally  calling you.

And if it's indexed? Will not be indexed the second time? Leo I know that I can modify the slug, but is not a solution, a professional solution.I don't have time to change slugs for hundreds of images. My question is how to make in order that in automatic I have the words stock-image in the place of images?

Hi Leo

My site isn't a blog. We sell downloadable maps using PayPal. As customers are most likely to buy our maps as a result of a Google image search I have been trying to set up a sitemap that includes images but none of the plugins that I have used (including Yoast) will do this. On various plugin support pages I have noticed some claims that Woothemes/Commerce are incompatible such and such plugin.

Will your image sitemap generator do the trick, is it compatible with WooCommerce and/or Yoast?
