What do you think? Which will rank better?
- Perfectly SEO'd site with average content.
- Site with viturally NO attention to SEO (even makes some mistakes), but awesome, interesting, and entertaining content?
Share your thoughts and findings. See attached pole.

Google has always held that content is king. But with social networks, I wonder if that's changing. I still think content is very strong. A good social buzz on a page ( I think ) will rocket any sort of content straight to the top for a long time, regardless of how good its set up.
Ok, I'm out the door now. Just having some fun.

I voted for the first so i could see the results, but i think its somewhere in between the two answers. In my day job, someone else is responsible for seo. He puts so many links on a page that its a wonder anyone reads it. It is too cluttered. I see the need for links, but as a web designer, i want people to actually be invited into the page, not repelled by underlined text. Its a constant battle, and i think most effective would be somewhere in between.

if you're talking about ranking in search engine traffic, i'm curious how google would be able to rank for 'interesting', 'awesome' and 'entertaining' (esp'ly given the recent failed attempts at humor in some of these threads)

I would hope it was the seo'd one otherwise I have been wasting a lot of time :)
I just voted for the wrong one though as the poll order is the opposite was around to Leo's question ::)
