Title: How to upload and active the author avatar?
Post by: lucato on December 15, 2013, 18:03
Hi folks, I'm sorry for the dumb question, but I have looked into all options and didn't get to find.

Also went to symbiostock>author options tab and didn't find a place to upload de avatar or select the media.

Where do I get to replace the Symbiostok avatar with the ladybug to my own avatar?

Thanks

Read the guides here

http://www.symbioguides.com/getting-started/networking-and-branding/ (http://www.symbioguides.com/getting-started/networking-and-branding/)

With a link to get the templates for the required sizes for the various branding items here

And instructions on uploading to WordPress here

Jo Ann, but I was referring me to the avatar  in this path:

wp-content/themes/symbiostock_ptbr/img/generic-user.jpg

So, I had manually overwrite the file generic-user.jpg with my own avatar. Not sure if it was the correct way, but worked. :0)

In the network form there is just the site avatar 32px or logo avatar 128px (Squared), and not author avatar (generic-user.jpg).

Thanks for the links anyway. ;0)

I don't think you want to replace the generic-user avatar as I think it's used when displaying network members who don't have an avatar.

Not certain about that but I do know that I have branded my own site with all my own imagery without overwriting that file. You just need to supply your file information in the various fields  in the Symbiostock panel in WordPress admin
