If datasheets were removed from the theme one or two versions ago, why am I getting crawl errors on datasheet files? Where are those files being generated from. Where can I add, edit or delete code so I don't get these errors any more?
-
I know I asked this in another thread, but I don't remember which thread. :(
-
Its simply because they no longer exist. Google's looking for them but not finding it.
On the other hand they *may* have been converted to default posts, in which case you can go and mass-delete them.
I got rid of them to help simplify the theme and they were just nerd stuff anyway.

Can you tell me where to find them if they are default posts so i can mass delete them?

I get them too -- easiest to just do a mass 'mark as fixed' and they'll eventually disappear. they shouldn't affect your SEO

Yep, i have marked them as fixed. I would like to understand why google is looking for them when they dont exist and where i can get rid of them. If there are no more datasheets in the theme, why is google looking for them?
I understand how they WERE there, google crawled, found them, and then when they were removed, google crawled again and then couldnt find them and created an error. But they have been gone now for a few weeks. Does it take that long and that many recrawls for the errors to disappear?

I had sites that have been gone for years that still showed up in searches
-
I guess i will let it go. It just bugs me. :D

I still get errors based on the GALLERY2 project which I deleted years ago. when you get an error, it also shows you where it was linked from -- some of these you can fix, others, like other sites you just live with.
