How do you install this related images widget at all please?

Do you know how to install/activate a widget in general?

You need to pull it where you want it to appear.

To make the Related Images widget work you need to activate the "Related Posts By Taxonomy" plugin first.

Thanks, thats already activated. I tried uploading it via the plugin but it doesn't work

It is at Appearance, Widgits, Symbiostock Similar Images - just add it to the page and position on the page you want it
