People have been complaining about too much info, and things in general, so I've been slowly finding my way out of the crowd in this venture. Just going to focus on supplying cool stuff and being quiet. :D

Right now I'm working on the premium theme and hope to have it 100% perfect before making it public so I can simply move on.

Apparently then this is uploader working for everyone. Just a theme toggle is needed.

I have a suggestion to make regarding info. Sometimes stuff comes up in various threads, sometimes in threads that don't have anything to do with the topic, and not everyone reads every thread (this is growing so fast and there are so many!)

You do this to a certain point already, but I was wondering if whenever you release an update, if you could include the details of what bugs you fixed and why in the Details section of the theme update itself. I am attaching a screenshot of exactly where I mean. For instance, for 2.5.6, you could say that a number of people were missing their uploader. This version fixes that bug by _______________ fill in the blank with a general explanation of what it does when the user updates. In this instance, as an example, you could say it will move the folders to this place in your root (name the folders) and you will need to toggle the theme on and off for it to work. Etc.

This is a place where EVERYONE who updates will go, and we will not have to hunt through the threads to find answers about what the update does and why. I have noticed other developers do this, usually on their support page where you download the version. Since we are loading the theme anyway, I thought it might be a good place for it to be.

Just a suggestion, trying to save you time and help users looking for answers.  :)

I completely agree. Just a few notes about the update, what it will do, and how to install it properly.

I can do that easily. We'll make a trade.

You see that graphic with the network and stuff representing the theme? I don't like the centering and the proportions may be off.

If I supply someone the source files can they redo that picture? Same feel/look, just better designed. I'll happily supply it to a few people and you guys can vote in the best looking one. We're going to keep this one permanently.

You can see what I'm shooting for - a nice techy / natural look. But its just not good enough : D

Not to derail your thread :D

But yes, I'll happily make a nice extensive bug fix under the description for each release, since we're now crossing over to stable and professional mode.

For instance, in the other thread about how referral code is being added to our URLs, in whatever version that popped up (maybe 2.5.5?) in the theme details if you had made a note that that was going to be happening and why, like you explained to me, we would have known it was coming and what it was for.  :) It will be in a central place, and you only have to explain yourself once. A win-win!

I will be happy to work on it, but when I saw it, I thought it looked great! I can give you an idea or two, and maybe others can, and we can vote, sounds like a good idea.

I'll open up a new thread. This has been bothering me. It makes my eye twitch when I see it might be hanging low.

Once thats updated I'll do a 2.5.7 release which gives detailed notes, with that one at the top.

:D

If the version changes details won't fit in the area below the theme logo, maybe here's another idea. I also noticed you have a link under the theme logo that says "view version 2.5.6 details", but that link goes to the home page of where to download it. Maybe it could go to a page with the version update details? Just throwing things out, maybe something will stick to the wall. I just think that area is a good central location...everyone sees it.  :)

Thats probably what that links is for! For me, living in fast-forward with development in the last 4 months I haven't even given attention to this stuff in detail. But in fact that just might be the best idea - and what that link slot is for in the theme template :D

Awesome. No need to apologize... :)

Another suggestion.

The meta title of the website Symbiostock.com is "Symbiostock, the Integrated Microstock Community".

Whenever someone posts a link in a forum to symbiostock.com most forum softwares won't show the URL but the title of the site which turns some people off.

Not everybody likes microstock very much and the title of the site tells people that Symbiostock is a "microstock only" network which I believe is probably not the intension.

So why not change the meta title to "Symbiostock, the Integrated Stock Community"?

And one more suggestion.
It would really be great if we'd get a 'Editorial Only' check box in the 'Edit Image Area', right where the release check boxes are. Checking this Editorial only should trigger a well visible "FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY" text or image on the frontend image page.

There is a Features Request thread going, maybe posting it there would get Leo's attention?

I agree with you on the meta title. People have already asked for Rights Managed implementation, so this will not just be about microstock.

Good suggestions.

I'll also add this.  On the image pages, the Photographer info drop down menu has "Portfolio: #images" that displays pages titled "Royalty Free Images on.....".  The Royalty Free should be dropped leaving just "Images on....." given that many have Editorial and RM images and the RF page title for the Portfolio could cause image buyer confusion.
