I did a compound keyword search on my own site and noticed that my network partner symbiostock.info listed more of my images than my own site.
So my question is, does Symbiostock.info have a better search engine than individual SY sites?
Obviously compound search terms deliver poorer results on my SY site than they do via the networking hub. Any explanation for that?

Yes, compound search on our sites doesn't work (correctly) because of limitations to the WP database. That's the point where Leo had to call it quits for now. He wrote a code snipplet for the Genetic Lab to automatically add the 'uncompounded' keywords to your images as a temporary work-around.
Symbiostock.info doesn't have that limitation because it works off its own database.

right, both symbiostock.info and symbiostock.cascoly.com combine data from all sites, then do their searches, so results will be different in each place
when I display results, all the images shown have alt text and links, so this gives further links across all sites

Thanks for the answers. That's a pity though. I feel like we're not using the full potential of our products and our site.

You're right, thanks god. Imagine a software product not even 3 months old that had already reached its full potential!
So let's keep exploring potentials. There will be more bug fixes and there will be more (paid) plugins to expand into those potentials.
Isn't it just amazing how far this project developed in such short time?

My site dogfordstudios.com seems to be stuck at 392 images on the symbiostock.info search engine.
Anyone have an idea why it would stop reading my new uploads into the search? thx

http://dogfordstudios.com/symbiostock_image_info.xml (http://dogfordstudios.com/symbiostock_image_info.xml) is empty - you need to run the network & image update from the network page & then check that the file was created alright

Didn't seem to create the http://dogfordstudios.com/symbiostock_image_info.xml (http://dogfordstudios.com/symbiostock_image_info.xml) file. :-(

Didn't seem to create the http://dogfordstudios.com/symbiostock_image_info.xml (http://dogfordstudios.com/symbiostock_image_info.xml) file. :-(
Have you installed NextGen plugin?
If so, deactivate it and try again.

Thanks I think that disabling NetGen fix it. I now see some stuff in http://dogfordstudios.com/symbiostock_image_info.xml (http://dogfordstudios.com/symbiostock_image_info.xml)

It's ok now, you have 472 images indexed at symbiostock.info.
