Ok I just got an email from Snapsvillage (Veer Marketplace Team) saying that:

Unfortunately, based on the images you currently have on SnapVillage, we have decided not to transfer your work to Veer Marketplace. It could be that your images just need some polishing, that you chose subjects that aren't a great fit for Veer Marketplace, or that you hadnt submitted very many images.

However, my not good enough images have been selling there for several months, I have already received two payouts.

Is this a re-think on the quality of my port or is this an error.

Has anyone else who's been accepted onto Veer received such an email?

Thanks

Stu :-)

I haven't gotten one yet, but I am expecting it. I bet there will be a lot of others here who get that message as well.

I got the message also.

Are you already selling at Veer marketplace?

I have nearly 900 image over there already selling, which is why I am confused by this email.

I got it too. I think is cost cutting move. Why do they have to move any images. Let's ask droids to submit them again :-)

Hmm, I am probably also not good enough, I have not received any e-mail, but I assume this, because they have not moved my stuff over to Veer. Did you guys apply directly at Veer market place?

I was lucky to have many of mine automatically transferred back in February, I found Brian very helpful with questions I had at the time. I hope they have not reconsidered :-)

Wow... very surprised. Just got an e-mail saying:

Congratulations, you've been selected to sell your work on Veer Marketplace!

Most of the stuff I have on Snapvillage are illustrations that I sent over a year ago. Maybe they are less strict on illustrations or something. I haven't actually uploaded anything new there since then.

I would have been shocked if you weren't selected. Your images are great. Mine on the other hand... big surprise.  ;)

You are both undoubtedly worthy ;-)
Congrats!
The good news is that there are sales, however, for me on a par with 123RF, not much but consistent.

Now I am happy that I did not waste my time uploading there. I just sent them DVD twice. They picked whatever they liked. I got two payouts before they started transition but I wonder why they did accept pictures from second DVD if they did not intend to copy them over. I guess transfer is too difficult to handle for them.

Yep, I got a refusal, too.

Not surprising, based on the last batch I sent to SV, getting only 40% accepted (all others having been accepted on iStock and elsewhere).

Well, too bad, but that's one less site to worry about.  ;D

Oh well, that's a couple of years of work totally wasted then. Even talking them up on this forum when others said they were a waste of time. I was looking forward to finally seeing a return on my time when my port went into an established library (with customers!). Just to make it perfect I uploaded my last submissions just before the cut off date -all accepted! Guess which email I got? However, congratulations to those of you who got the other one, Regards, David

Hi Stu, yes indeed, you shouldn't have received that email.  Your images are safe and sound on Veer Marketplace.  Sorry about that.  You can ignore the message.  Same goes for anyone else who's images have already been migrated to Veer Marketplace.

I just received the same email... I think it might be because I had only just started uploading to Snapvillage and I only had 10 images in my portfolio. Truly not many. Probably would cost more to transfer than to just have me sign up and upload them myself....

I am expecting one too. I think if they had wanted my pictures, they would have already moved them. I am a bit disappointed - I had regular payouts with SV and I have ca 95% AR. I just hope they will pay the rest of money. I saw my earnings disappear on more than one occasion (LO...).

I was hoping this might be a mistake :-)

If we got it and we are already on Veer it is a mistake, otherwise it is not? Sounds like everyone was painted with the same brush.  I sent them an email some time back and expressed an interest and they said they would get back to me after they looked at my images. This is the only response I have seen, so I think I will pass. I have uploaded to about a dozen new starters in the last two years and not one of them have been worth the effort, SV included.

I hope for everyone else, I am wrong, we'll see.

It sounds like it was an automated process, based on your past sales at SV. If you opted out of subs, then unless you had a very large or very unique, outstanding port, chances are you didn't get enough sales to pass their automated test.

A great way to thank those who stuck with them from the start.

I've gotten nothing one way or the other? Did I need to apply. I thought they would get in touch with all Snapvillage contributors with a yes or no. Then if you were rejected, you could reapply after June 8.

You are correct; you needn't do anything. Perhaps you'll get an email tomorrow (unless there's a problem with your email address and you missed today's).
