Title: email about veer marketplace phasing out SV
Post by: johngriffin on February 05, 2009, 12:21
Is that true dthat they are phasing out snapvillage?   i just got an emial saying, " What does this mean for SnapVillage?
In the months ahead, we’ll be inviting SnapVillage contributors and customers to Veer Marketplace. Once Veer Marketplace is launched and fully operational, it will become Corbis’ only microstock brand and SnapVillage will be phased out by the end of the year."

phased out by the end of the year?  so basically closing shop in a nice way.

Moving the store and changing the name is probably more accurate. Perhaps tweaking the inventory on the way. Then there's the changing of price structure. I can't say it's a bad thing. I see it as a positive move.

I got the same email. I only made $30 something from SVP and will not upload again until I see something solid. Veer was a good company in macro stock but under Corbis leadership, we'll have to see how it does.
