When I checked this morning another subs sale from Jan 4th had been posted - again at 25 cents. That makes 3 at 25 cents and one at 83 cents for an average of 39.5 cents a download. Low volume & low price is not a good combo for subscriptions...

I've only had 0.33c subs so far.  Not many, so not worried at the moment.  I'm always relieved to get back to those nice $3.50 sales though.

Still seeing mostly standard sales, only 2 subs so far - 1 for .31, and 1 for .25

I saw this thread was updated, went to check and there was another sub from yesterday posted - this one at a whopping 26 cents! So now I'm at 3 x 25 cents 1 x 26 and 1 x  83 for an average of 36.8 cents

This is basically playing out the way iStock's subscriptions did - given that buyers apparently try to max out their allowance on the days they buy, we end up with minimums. If they don't buy on weekends that all goes into Veer's kitty. The hoo-ha about the theoretical windfalls in practice means very little.

Disappointing.

ETA that another .25 sale posted for 1/12 makes the average  34.8 cents

I think it would be fair to wait awhile before coming up with overall conclusion on the success of veers subscription plan.

If the subscriptions have only just been released, everybody is a new buyer of the subscription and really hungry to use all their allowances. As time goes on the novelty will wear off and hopefull we get a few where its shared only between a few photos and the average subscription royality will be higher than at SS.

A weekly total with daily limits for uploading would be best for contributors as you would get some of the benefits of the weekends, public holidays when no photos would be getting downloaded.

If 0 photos are downloaded on a day all the money goes to Veer. If one or more photo is downloaded a good chunk goes to Veer and the rest is split among the photographers. The ideal for photographers is the buyer gets one image every day. The worst is the buyer either maxes out the downloads or gets nothing.

I had another sub there for .25 bringing my average down to .64 (only 3 subs so far though - a bit more data will be required before I can say much). I also wouldn't be surprised if the buying behaviour settles down after a while (less maxing out the plan).
