where is all the action for this thread?? I sure hope you have gotten some takers.  This is a great chance to earn a buck, meet you guys, and have significant input in the future of the site.

Hear! Hear!

Thanks Tyler. I couldn't have put it better myself.

I'm really looking forward to meeting more local microstockers through this. It's a great opportunity for those who participate, as well as for us to observe users in the own environment, talk/walk through your workflows, and beyond - should be a good time.

Maybe there aren't any Seattle-ites here.

Or maybe it sounds a bit too good to be true...?

Not easy to get us microstockers out in the sun.  We might blow our Forum - cover...

I'm three hours south, otherwise I would participate.

it's true!

If you're in the area - but still on the fence :  let me know.  I can try to answer any questions you may have, or forward your query on the Corbis Usability/research team.

hah - it's nice and sunny in Seattle now (!) so, could be extra risky...  j/k   ;)

No worries - we can protect your forum cover.

Is anyone in touch with Avava? I think he's from Seattle and would be a great interview.

I'm not sure if he is still actively submitting to micro, I think he was just testing the numbers. I know he was a little sour on this place and isn't posting anymore, but maybe you can catch him by PM.

Just a thought....

Why not open up your research to non-Seattle based microstockers and conduct your interviews online and via the phone?

Not ideal, but this site certainly has plenty of people with experience that you could pick their brains....

Jonathan is a very well-known traditional stock photographer who I'm certain has direct, personal relationships with many people at Corbis. And yes, he's a good suggestion.

I think all Seattle microstockers are exclusive with iStock.

Hi Jeff -

We may look into online or phone interviews as well.
Our usability/research team has found that it is hard to beat site visits, so we're focusing on that angle for now.

Darn.  I am at the other end of the country in Florida.

Would love to participate if you widen it up to include phone or online interviews or if any of your people are vacationing down this way.

Best of luck with your exciting project :)

Im about two hours west of Seattle, but with the price of gas + ferry + parking I dont think I will be able to make it. Sounds like fun though. I would like to meet the other five stock photographers living in the Pacific Northwest  ;)

I'm about two hours east of Seattle, but not sure what I'd do with an Apple gift certificate.  :-\

Corbis have got a London office, someone from there is welcome to come to my studio and if they ask nicely I'll let them buy me lunch.
