I had recently these rejections  for vectors :
"Other concerns. Some or all layers appear to be locked. This can cause problems for customers. Please unlock all layers and resubmit."

I usually lock the white background, I am curious to know what kind of issue this can cause to the customer...
grrrrrrrrrrrr  >:( just crazy...

anyone else ?

You should normally unlock everything before submitting as an eps.  Not sure what problem it would have for the customer coz can't they unlock it?  Just probably a general rule of thumb not to lock layers or hide layers.

I don't know what the deal is either but I had some rejected by Veer because the layers were locked. Maybe they have to be unlocked because of the different software types.

Out of curiosity why are you locking layers? I only really lock layers for design projects like die lines or crop and bleeds. I guess I lock sketch layers, but I delete those.

Speaking for myself....I lock them as I work on them so I don't end up editing a layer under another layer. I just left them locked when I saved the eps. I figured whoever bought the vector had the ability to unlock them if needed. I'm still a beginner when it comes to vectors and I'm still learning as I go so I can only speak for myself. After the rejects on Veer I'll always make sure they are unlocked.

Yep, I tend to lock layers during my workflow, same with locking and hiding individual elements. Making sure I have unlocked all and unhidden (sic?) all under "Object" is one of the steps I make sure I've done before exporting the eps.
Unlocking the layers I think I do more without thinking too much about it because I wouldn't want to miss any open paths or overlapped anchors on locked layers when running the other checks.

Thanks for your comments,
personally, I was used to lock ONLY the white background for all my files, and Istock (and other stock sites) never had problems with this. I considered the white background as not being a part of the illustration, like the white paper sheet, and not having to be edited, or moved. And that makes it easier for editing objects without moving the background. But that will change for now... I don't want to spend more time for re-uploading to veer.
