I got accepted to Veer and after the first 10 I uploaded a couple hundred images.  That was 3 weeks ago.   They are sitting there un-reviewed.  Is that typical?

Quite usual lately, as they are still processing the huge queue from their (now over) Dash for Cash promotion. My oldest pictures still waiting in the queue are from June, 5th.

Hopefully, review times should revert to normal once they're finished.

I was curious about this as well - I still have images from 3 weeks ago that haven't been reviewed.

yeah, they got a ton of images from their Dash for Cash venture.  I think we just have to wait until they get caught up.

Sometimes they take 30 or so. As I'm slowly approaching the 400 under the dash for cash super premium, my reject ratio went up to 65%. Often best sellers on other sites. The most rejects are that the images are technically sound but Veer customers aren't interested in that type of content. I wonder why they sell then on other sites. Maybe Veer customers are from Mars?
Whatever, I think it will be at least October when they overcame their slack.

I made the mistake of uploading images during the last week of Veer's Dash-for-Cash month (June I think).  It took over 6 weeks to have them reviewed.  Just 9 images and only 4 were accepted.  While this is a single case - it is not too encouraging to me.

Considering how many images I'm sure they had to review, they've done a decent job. I'm down to my last 100 images for review from the Dash program. Hopefully, they will get everyone else's reviewed soon, so I can get a big fat check.

I'm getting close to 3 monhts waiting time.
This is not looking good.
It's not about me. I'm in no rush, I'm fine and I have no intention to stop uploading there.
This is about the agency.
I like Veer very much and I want them to do well, but this is not how the world of microstock works. Fast, fresh and furious.
Yes, I understand that Dash for Cash has created a huge backlog, but Veer has never been known for fast inspection times.
3 weeks was my normal, on average.
3 weeks is not 3 months, but compared to the other sites, it's still too long.
I want Veer to climb up there and they need more reviewers.

I wonder if queue is prioritized somehow? Apparently some contributors are reviewed faster and got small number of images waiting.

for me, they've been reviewing in batches of 70-80 once a month. the acceptance rate was about 80% at the start of the dash, but now that they've bit off more than they can chew, it's complete, utter rejections. they're still reviewing my port as we speak.

addendum: it's a total bloodbath! i think they've just run out of cash. a promising start has ended in a crash. for those who're waiting for a review, you may not like the results.

I don't know if there has been too much dashing for cash and they have run out of 'dash cash' but they have just trashed most of my images, good sellers across the other sites. Balderdash I say!

They seem to have selected the same rejection reason for large batches, such as a load of my model shots get "Model's pose and/or expression appear awkward or forced. We prefer to see more natural, authentic body language." Which includes a picture of St.Pauls Cathedral!! Groan.....

But at least I am starting to see regular sales since the beginning of the month :-)

That's exactly what happened to me. They started approving almost everything and then it went from bad to worse from there. Some of the rejections were just ridiculous. Then to top it off they have never fixed the problem with their search engine as far as I can tell.

Same here. Started with 95% acceptance, now down to 70% refusal. Unbelievable rejection reasons. I don't think they even look at the image, they just have to reject many because they stretched themselves too much with the dash for cash program. Loads of dash left but no cash. It's also suggested by the unilateral heightening of their payout limit to 100$, so they made us lenders and not earners.

The search engine will never be fixed since they don't consider it broken. It's not a bug, it's a feature.  ;)

i don't think they want anyone to reach the $1.4/photo level since you'll need 400 approvals.

That's the only reason I spent days copypasting the IPTC since they can't read it. I was well on my way till suddenly the reject ratio went from 90% approval to 70% reject. With hundreds in the q I can still make it when they go back to 40% reject.  If not, my time copypasting is wasted. I have 300 more in the edit q but I'm not motivated at the moment to copypaste my description in all. Painting my apartment myself and saving on the 10 euro hourly wage brings in more money. That goes for microstock in general, I suppose.

Well, I haven't had anything inspected for (almost) 3 months.
And now it seems they started mass-rejecting again.
I'm nowhere near 400, (170 accepted, 50 pending), but I guess that's going to be my fate too.
I don't care about my images, I really don't.
But I want all of yours accepted; darn, I want Veer to do well.
With a collection of only 1.5 mill images, mass rejecting is not going to help Veer to climb up to the top. Not in the world of microstock.
Darn.

PS Don't worry FD :)
I did the same last Christmas - painting my house. What a mess, God, never again  :)

I just don't like it when someone changes the rules in the middle of the game. To me that isn't being honest and they wait til they got you on a hook before they say....heh by the way...

Does anyone get the "Dash for Cash" updates any more? I haven't gotten on since the middle of July.

The worst is when the fag resting on the edge of the paint container falls in the paint.  :P

They change rules in the middle of the game just because they can. It seems like a pattern with most of the new agencies I have tried in last year. Bite-and-Switch strategy :-) I am no longer excited when new one pops up :-)

i have to agree with you there. i think this is quite rude what they are doing and i can understand now why some have developed a distrust for them.

it takes seconds to mass reject everything, but it takes a contributor hours to upload and then months to wait for the review. what a waste of time. although is is another pita, at least their reviewer has spent more than a minute per photo when they isolate an area to explain to you the reason for their rejection.

I only had that at iStock.

They actually showed you??? I'm with FD....I've only gotten that from iStock. At Veer it's called mass rejections with all the same reasons in the same batch.
