I have some little problems with the Veer Marketplace website.

- I am located in Germany and the Veer site shows up in german. That is fine most of the time, but occasionally  I would like to see the site in english. But I do not find any way to change the language.

- If I go to 'marketplace' and check 'Illustrations' and 'marketplace', leaving all other fields unchecked, and search for 'Italy' I get lots of photos instead of illustrations. (Clarification: this happens with the images from the marketplace. It seems to work ok for 'regular' Veer images.)

- There are some images in the search results that only show a white preview. If I click on the description the detail page is shown, but without an image.

Simply click on "Ihr Standort" in the upper-right corner and select UK or Rest of Europe.

Bye!

Hm... there is no such link or button on the website as I see it over here.

Oh, and another thing: aren't there any sort options for the search results? Like sort by date, popularity, downloads, price? I think it should at least be possible to sort by date and price.

Ohhhhh.... I see what is going on. I was logged in - then I don't have the 'Standort' button. If I log out it is there.

Well, that still makes little sense to me. Even if I am logged in I would like to change the language.

Well, looks like nobody at Veer is interested in bug reports.

I can't speak to the first point, but I've noticed the second issue as well, though I think it may be intentional. As the number of images grows, however, it will become more and more of a hindrance to the search, and I hope that they will consider applying the file type filters. Regardless of whether they did it on purpose, it is confusing to buyers because it is different than how it is expected to work.

I haven't experienced the third issue you mentioned.

Hi Maui -

I'm working to confirm, but I believe this to be intentional.
When you are logged in the system it uses your stored address and country to provide you the correct default language and search experience.

As people who don't have an account or haven't logged in don't have a stored country of residence, the "choose your location" drop-down is visible.

It seems like a good idea to be able to change this even when logged in, but I want to dig a bit further to see if this is indeed possible.

As far as search sort options - we're looking at adding some sort options later this year.

In terms of 'blanks' - let me know if you are still seeing those. We've been working hard to load lots of product recently and sometimes there is a bit of lag time between the image showing up in results and the thumbnail and preview images being loaded.

Hope this helps.

Best,

- Brian

Hi Brian,

thanks for your reply.

I think you missed the problem that photos appear instead of illustrations in the search, which is by far the worst bug.

And when I am logged in there seems to be no way of changing my default country.

This has nothing to do with sort options. It is a wrong search result - you are not getting what you asked for.

The sort options currently only apply to the main veer collection. You are sorting for illustrations or photos or whatever in the Veer tab, OR you are searching within the Marketplace.

It is confusing because that is not made clear, and as I said before, will become a larger problem proportionate to the growth of that MP collection. It sounds like they are making plans for implementation of a solution though.
