Fine. Good. As long as they delete our content that's the best outcome I think.
-
No loss to the world.
-
Finally my images will be removed I'm already on istock.
-
We will be paid ?
-
We will be paid ?
Is the question we are all asking.......
-
Dashboard was there 2 minutes ago and now it is gone! They would hate for anyone to screencapture what they are owed!

Dashboard was there 2 minutes ago and now it is gone! They would hate for anyone to screencapture what they are owed!
Dashboard is still there for me.
-
The language is not entirely clear to me, and site is gone so... will our content featured on veer be handed over to be licensed by istock???
-
My take on the language was that the content would not automatically be handed over to iStock- that it would be up to the contributor to put the content on IS.
-

As I read it no.....you have to apply to become an Istock contributor and MAY be fast tracked...I am on Istock but do have some Veer content that didn't make it on there when their inspection regime was stricter. Surely there can't be many on Veer and not on Istock...why would you do that?
-
The site is back again - the site's been up and down this afternoon. They have some very funny 404 page images, including one of a guy with a skateboard on his head...
-

I did. I have a screenshot. They owe me $98.23. :\
-
The owe me only 36$ but it's mine not their money so I want it. I send support tickets but no response or a response withount any answer.

Just received this contributor communication from them:
Dear Veer Contributor,
We’d like to provide an update on the VCG acquisition of Corbis (including Veer) and what it means for you as a Veer contributor.
First a quick recap on the key elements of the acquisition:
Corbis has announced the sale of the Corbis Images (excluding Splash), Corbis Motion, and Veer licensing businesses to Unity Glory International, an affiliate of the Visual China Group (VCG), a leading Chinese visual communications and new media business.
Following this transaction, VCG is expanding its longstanding partnership with Getty Images, and, after a transition period, Getty Images will become the exclusive distributor of Corbis content outside China.
What’s next for Veer?
As part of VCG’s purchase of Corbis and expanded partnership with Getty Images, Veer clients will be transitioned to iStock, and the Veer site will be retired on March 30th.
New content submissions to Veer will no longer be accepted as of today.
Royalties will continue to be paid through standard processes throughout the transition period.
Following site retirement you will be released from contractual obligations with Veer.
We will not be migrating any Veer content to iStock.
If you’re already a contributor to iStock there is no action to take, you will automatically benefit from the client transition.
If you are not currently a contributor to iStock and would like to be, here’s how to sign up:
Step 1: Join iStockphoto: http://www.istockphoto.com/join (http://www.istockphoto.com/join)
Step 2: Choose a Member Name: http://www.istockphoto.com/create_membername.php (http://www.istockphoto.com/create_membername.php)

^ no mention there of paying out royalties...

I took that to mean that they would be cashing out royalties.

edit: oops posted at the same time

I emailed in and received this clarification - Your royalty payment will process as normal through the transition. If you have a remaining royalty balance as of March 31st you will be paid out on April 15th, regardless of amount.

"Standard proccesses" suggests hitting payout threshold, as usual. Not a commitment to releasing accrued royalties.

Well that explains why my request to cancel my account back in December went unanswered. At least it will be gone and I can be rid of this one. I won't be moving to iStock. They didn't want me back in 2010 and I'm not looking to audition so I happily support the disappearance of Veer.
-
and another one bites the dust
I can't see my statistics anymore. They must have had one of the worst, most complicated interfaces in the history of stock photography. It takes so long to find anything if you are not a frequent visitor.
But years ago the sales were ok... they weren't bad back then..
-
A little history:
I was one of those whom Veer solicited to start a portfolio with them, at a certain payoff (can't remember what it was) per image.
That original payoff was the most I ever made from Veer. :-)
And I pulled out a couple of years ago when their partner program went off the rails.
As I said earlier… no loss to the world.
-
Hopefully Veer will make sure their partners remove our material too.
-
That's too bad. I started with them during their "Dash to cash" program - it was nice to get paid just for uploads. They had about the highest RPDL of any major stock site but hadn't had many sales the past three years or so. I'm glad to know they will pay out final balances - I have been stuck at around $75 the past couple of months. Wonder how many more we will lose during 2016?
-
I'm at 97$... hope I can get to 100$ before the closing !
freaking site stealing our money all the time when closing !
-
Was almost dead anyway
-
Anyone with a good word to say not me.....
-
Lets hope for the best ..... being sarcastic ....
-
I'm stuck at $64 for almost a year .. the sales were non existent.
Today it seems the Veer server is down with an error, probably too many users trying to get their
screenshots :))
As long as they pay the remainder of my earnings I won't loose sleep over the closing. :p
-
As I said earlier… no loss to the world.
...but a $100 loss for me every month :(
Hope the former customers move over to shutterstock rather than to istock
-
Dashboard was there 2 minutes ago and now it is gone! They would hate for anyone to screencapture what they are owed!
I did. I have a screenshot. They owe me $98.23. :\
You and me both. I was so close to a payout. Now I may not reach it. Glad to learn they WILL be paying out all unpaid royalties.
I can't say I am happy about this. Less competition in the market is not good. I know Veer hasn't been a good seller, but istock sales are in continous decline and haven't found their bottom. I very much doubt the 50-70 bucks a month I made on veer will show up on istock or PP. It's just a little bit less money I'll be making. Death by a thousand cuts.
-
you would think that when a company closes doors the client reassesses their needs and budget. it is not a certainty that the client will just obey and move in flocks to istock. they might go with a cheaper option. so the question is, who is the cheapest at this moment in time? shutter adobe dreamstime deposit etc

I guess its those who have longer term agreements.....I'm not sure what the situation is if they say "no thanks I want a refund." Mind you if my sales are typical you can get all their clients in a Taxi!
-
Wouldn't a flurry of credit sales be nice (if they pay on the 15th like they say they will).
-
Snapshot is closing. Oh that's terrible.

Anybody remember back when Corbis was thought to be the main agency keeping Getty from a near monopoly in the stock business?
-
Actually, I'm glad they're gone. One of the worst performing sites (19th out of 22 agencies). Sales were nearly non-existent. I registered more than 5 years ago and I never made a payout. They also had issues with keywords being removed or changed randomly, if I recall correctly.
So as long as they pay outstanding royalties, I'm fine with it.
-
That's 3 agencies gone for me this last two weeks and Veer makes four :D
At least I didn't have to send a delete request and get no reply and no response ;D
-
Just noticed that my unpaid earnings have been transferred to pending payments. I thought they were not closing till the end of March? If we have any sales over the rest of March I wonder if they will even pay them out? I've already had my one sale for the month of March so chances of it happening again are teeny anyway! Would like to just see my portfolio removed.

How did you access that? I keep getting "Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error" when I try to access the Veer site in any way shape or form
-
I just checked my dashboard which is up for me not sure if it's up for anyone else. Yes Veer give me my whopping $.43 ;D
Maybe they moved the closing date up which is why everything's gone to pending? Or they screwed up in the emails and are paying everyone on the 15th of this month?
-
I managed to log back in again and see the $77 they owed me is now a pending payment :D
-
If you get "Server Error in '/' Application." try logging in through a proxy or anonymize site ;)
-

Call me stupid, but how do you do that?
-
I got over 1K from their dash for cash and had decent (for me) sales in 2011 and 2012. They have slipped a lot since then. RIP.
-
Got this email update today. I think it's pretty much the same information we had previously, with perhaps the added "Royalties will continue to be paid, regardless of amount, through standard processes throughout the transition period"' being new information. This would be consistent with the movement of royalties moving from "unpaid" to "pending" that many have noted here.

Has anybody got their payout for February yet? I used to get it on the 16th, but today I'm still waiting for +150$ from Jan and Feb
-

I had a note on Veer's payment history screen advising payout would be on March 18th
-
I dont understand why people are waiting months before requesting payout. If payment is not automated, I request it at the end of every month.

Yes, at Veer the payment is autimated. And you have to reach $100. If you are making $100/month at Veer you must be the only one.
-

I already went round and round with Veer on this - Contrary to what their site says all monies will be paid out on or before Apr 15th. There will not be any payments until then, at which time they will pay out everybody whatever they are owed.
-
Thanks for providing that information.
-
Well the 18th of March came and went still no sign of any money even though the payout report said payment was scheduled for March 18th :-\
-
Interesting. I just got an email from Veer, saying they have authorized a $3.50 royalty payment to my paypal account. Since i closed my account years ago, i wonder how they even still have my email or my paypal account. No indication in the email as to when it will show up in my paypal account. I will contact contributor support tomorrow and see what gives.
-
Well I had nothing to post in this thread until today. I got a payment from Veer, but I never uploaded a thing there. I went to their site and searched my name and found the 10 images I submitted as samples a few years ago. I guess since they approved me those images automatically found their way into the collection. So $71 for 10 images for three years. I just spent $70 at Costco, so I'm up a buck!!
-
I just got my payout. Far below threshold.

That's funny! Good return on your investment.
I got paid too....maybe a trip to Costco is in the cards for me too.
Cheers,
-
I closed my account with Veer almost two years ago (April 2014) but today I received e-mail saying I'd been paid $17.05 on March 18th.
I don't see anything on PayPal; I don't see any of my images still on Veer (I had checked after I had them close my account but checked again today). I'm assuming it's a mistake, but possibly something came in from a partner site (which begs the question as to why they didn't pay me sooner).
If I don't see anything show up on Monday I write to ContributorHelp to find out
-
I just got my payout. Far below threshold.
Me too. Well, an advice slip that my payout has been authorised anyway. I never requested it, so that's a good sign (I.e.: they are paying what they owe).
-
Seriously after telling me that I'd have to wait until Apr 15 for payment I got my Feb Payment today.
They are going to fit in real well with iStock.
-
I got the email from Corbis as well, but PayPal doesn't show any payment yet. Amusingly, I've made two more sales at Veer ($2.65!) since they emptied my account.
-
No money in my Paypal account either. Probably an "initial notice" and maybe on April 15 we will all be paid.
-
Same e-mail here. I note it says payment has been "authorized" not actually paid. It is dated the 18th, which is what they originally said, so it will be interesting to see when the funds actually appear in my PayPal account.
-
I closed my account in 2010 and forgot I had a balance. Got it today.
-
Yesterday i had the payout notification
-
I went to check my Veer account that is collecting dust and cobwebs....
Unpaid earnigns and pending payments show as 0.....However when I look in the tab "Past payments" I can see the last 3 payments,...of which one is $22.75 (net) on March 18, 2016
I didn't receive any email about payment...

Mine appeared in the Junk folder, so you should check that.
-
I got emails but no sign of any cash, emailed Veer but no response yet :(
-
I haven't heard back from Veer Contributor help, but I did just get the money via PayPal. A bit odd that it says it's a 3/18/16 payment but it doesn't show up until the afternoon of 3/21, but I've moved the money to my bank.
I'll post here if I get a reply from Veer as to why my closed account has a balance due.
-
Yeah, just got mine too. A whopping $3.50. I'm rich!
-
I got my payment also today.
-
I spoke too soon...
got my payment...22 bucks.
well, end of the year, we have another 1099 to wait for.
-
Mine came through today...
-
Well that "Dash for Cash" ended up being more like a marathon. Six years after earning around $75 from their 2010 upload bonus promotion I've finally got the money! One EL and 3 or so sub sales in the years since pushed me to less than $2 short of the payout. With hindsight, i don't think Corbis ever really liked or understood the microstock industry. A failed first attempt with the appallingly named Snap Village and then a poor second go with the Veer Marketplace - the budget section of their (rather full of itself) traditional Veer agency. Sadly, few of my images that are accepted and sell on other agencies met the "aesthetic qualities their clients expected". Ditching vital keywords to fit within their Controlled Vocabulary didn't help matters nor did a poorly maintained website which at one point went the best part of a year with a broken uploader. Glad to have my money? Yes. Sorry to see Veer go? No.
That said, spare a thought for those employees at Veer who will no longer have jobs. I have never had anything but friendly and helpful communication with them and back in the day Brian O'Shea did a storming job of helping contributors -both on SV and later Veer. End of an era.....
-
Anyone did not get their payment? Mine (44USD) was due to be paid on the 18th to my Paypal and still nothing... I see all of you have already received your pay. Is there any point in contacting them or they simply do dot react?
-
I havn't got mine yet either.
-
Received the payment advice on the 20 March, no payment of $89.83
No payment in my PayPal account
I have written them an email to ask about it
What more can you do!
-
No payment yet, but I'm not worried.
What I do wonder, is why they didn't wait with all these payments until they actually had closed.
I have a new sale of $1,05 now, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So much extra work for them!
-
I got my payout the 18th, but still haven´t received it. Glad to see others have the same problem... guess it will show up eventually then.
-
Mine showed up in paypal on the 21st, surprisingly.
-
Mine showed up in paypal on the 21st, surprisingly.
Mine too. But for some reason I am doing pretty good there this month. Maybe people using up credits before they close? They will owe me another payout in April.
-
No payment here.
-
no actual payment, despite getting an invoice sent to me.
-
Has anybody actually received a payment in March who was below the $100 threshold?
-
Has anybody actually received a payment in March who was below the $100 threshold?
Yep. $98 .05 on Monday 21st (Paypal).
-
6 days later still no payment despite an email being sent and the automated reply saying they would get back in 1-2 days.
What concerns me is what happens when they close on March 30th?
Is there going to be anyone out there to answer the emails.
-
Has anybody actually received a payment in March who was below the $100 threshold?
Received mine on March 22. $76,40.
-
Has anybody actually received a payment in March who was below the $100 threshold?
I got a payment a couple of days ago for $3.50. My account there had been closed for at least 2 years. I suspect it is for a sale(s) that came in after I closed my account and has been sitting there all this time.
-
Let's just hope that Revostock's long lists of money owed won't happen here! :-\

-
Has anybody actually received a payment in March who was below the $100 threshold?
Yes. I did for $17.05. My account had been closed for nearly 2 years and I wasn't aware there was any balance they owed me. I wrote to support but haven't heard anything back.
Edited to add that I heard back from Veer support this afternoon and they said there were royalties earned because files weren't pulled before the payment was processed (and as that was done by Veer for me, not by me, it's something they should have handled). He did apologize for not paying the money owed in 2014.
He also noted that there were some delays "There has been a delay in payments overall due to the transaction size..."
-
Received my payment today.
-
Just came through now
-
$89.83 just been paid
-
Finally paid March 24th
Time to move on and forget Veer ever existed 8)
-
Got mine $30 also :)
-
$99.94 received yesterday. It would be a shame to lose it. At least they passed away in good style.
-

LOL
-
Got mine too. Yesterday. 3.57$.
It's kind of good that Veer has been closed, otherwise I would probably never reach payout....
-
Yup, it came through yesterday as well...
-
Now they've gone any chance Veer can be consigned to the Sites that no longer exist section so we can forget they ever existed :D
-

I wish I could! Many hours of my life wasted for very little return
-
No payment here. About 67$.
More than a week ago got mail, that they can't send to my payoneer asking where to send. Answered with my paypal, and changed account settings to paypal. No answer and no money since then.
-
Who do I contact, I only got an email customer s get and I had some $ in my account

I was told they are going to pay everyone everything they are owed by the 15 of April.

So I got my payment for Jan/Feb earnings on March 22, but what about March earnings? Has anybody got any information or payment yet?
-
I got this from them on the 19th - looks like they missed another deadline.
Hi,
We are still working on processing all payments. It’s taking longer than we thought. We hope to have them all out by the end of the week.

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering where my last payout was. Only 11 bucks, but still...
-
just got payed
-
I received a payment from them in March for what I knew I had there and just got another, smaller one yesterday, which I assume is for any sales that occurred after the initial payout but before they closed. It seems that they are paying everyone what is owed so that is good.
-
Just got my last payout yesterday. Farewell Veer.
-
I still have not got my 34.41$ I earned in April. So they are not so good.
Ups. I have got it today.
