I agree about the watermark.  I hope we don't have to go through that argument again.  The fact is that people do steal those size images, I have seen some with the watermark still on and we can do something about that.  It is too easy to crop the veer watermark off and then we will never know if the image has been stolen, please let us have something that is more of a deterrent.

A bit more on Payoneer: they offer a Veer branded prepaid debit-Mastercard that may be a good option for those for whom PayPal is not. Your royalties are loaded onto the card - which can then be extracted at nearly any ATM or used in a retail transaction online or in person. It's a pretty cool setup - we're really impressed with them so far!

Thank you for the quick answer Brian. I will have I closer look at Payoneer as a payment option.

Can vector artists upload a jpeg with their vectors so keywords and tites can be extracted. Please tell me I won't have to manually input the data for all my illustrations!
Also is there any way I can have my username changed? There were teething problems with SV when it started which meant I had to try twice before my account was successfully set up, so I do not have my preferred user name.

They image processing does not work properly. Gives an error on a half of images I tried to upload. These images has been submitted everywhere so I do not think they are broken.

I'm having the same problem

Hi Melking -

As I mentioned in the PM - this was a system error on our part. Please resubmit your files.

Thanks for your patience with our first day of production.

- Brian

I'm having the same problem

I had the same problem. Only one of the 10 images uploaded successfully without an error. After many frustrating hours of re-uploading I discovered that the keywords of all the images that return an error were entered with Irfaview. The one that made it through I used PixVue. I had to edit all my images using PixVue to re-enter all my keywords and after this the files uploaded with no problems.

All 10 images were since accepted.  :)

My files were without descriptions yesterday but they are there today... have you checked? It says somewhere in this thread that if you get thumbnails the file is still being generated.

I'm having problems uploading images. I tried Filezilla but I get errors. I use my log on the same as the one I use for the Veer site and correct password. I tried the upload button for the browser on workspace on the Veer site but its not active. I can log onto the site OK but can't upload images. My SV images were moved over. I'm completely confused as to why I can't upload. Can anyone help?

Thanks Eco, deleted keywords and descriptions from files that I used infraview and loaded okay. Waiting for review

Brian, I believe infraview is a very common keywording tool, can whatever bug in reading IPTC data be fixed to allow upload of files edited with infraview ?

well:
I have my 10 initial images approved, now i try to upload 10 more from FTP and when i go to the page it takes ages to make the procesing files, and then they all give me uncknown error, then it just automatically try again and again always with the same result, so im not able to do anithing else there.
I tried to delete the files from my ftp client (filezilla) but i cant do that either. So what can i do now? i just want to delete those images and try to upload from the web.
Maybe all this errors are due to a masive traffic in the servers these days?

OK, I found my problem with Filezilla. I didn't have the ssl/tsl settings right. Uploading OK now.

Thanks both of you for noticing this. You saved me some time. Luckyoliver and another beginning site had the same problem in the beginning and it took me hours to help them out on that. Adobe and Irfanview use a slightly different scheme to encode metadata. Adobe is less standard. All vested sites can handle both formats flawlessly except for Bigstockphoto that sometimes fools up the Title field.

I'll wait to submit to Veer till the site corrected most of its bugs. You're all doing a great job finding those.  ;D

Well, now that I figured out how filezilla works, the process is painless. Hopefully the approval will be as painless. So far I'm very pleased with Veer. Looking forward to good sales and success here.

Put me down as a contributer whose photos were transfered from SV, but there are no thumbnails, whacky keywords, and no descriptions.

Sounds as if they transfered the programmers too  :P

This should be called Marketplace BETA.

Too many issues.

Looks like they never tested the site before.

I wonder what the first potential buyers are thinking.

Anyone any sales yet?

I'm having the same problem. I decided to upload with FTP  about 15 images without keywords attached. All uploaded successfully and then added keywords after.
If I try to upload images with FTP or one at a time with keywords attached I get a message saying images loaded unsuccessfully unknown error.
I guess I will wait to upload any more until this issue is resolved. I upload to over 10 sites and this is the only one I'm having FTP problem issues with...

I uploaded 10 yesterday for review and had all of them rejected for not suitable for stock lack of commercial appeal. I totally disagree with their reason. They have images on the site that are far less appealing and the same type. :-\

Hi Everyone,

I received my password and account login information.  So far I've been able to go through the upload process without issue.  However, I noticed I have a limit of submitting 100 photos.  My question are:

1. How was this limit established?

2.  What happens when I have submitted over 100 images?

3.  Is this limit per day or per month or per?

4.  Will this limit change?

Thanks!

Hi sgcallaway1994 -

The default submission limit for accepted contributors is 100 files per week. This was established to help make sure that content moves through the queue efficiently. This threshold was established based upon polling on this site and elsewhere, as well as usability study feedback.

It's possible the limit may change in the future. For now we're going to make sure our systems are in good shape, and our editing team is up to speed.

- Brian

Hi Brian,

Is it possible to send DVDs? With the current limit, it would take me 1 year to get all my images on the site.

Thanks.
