Good morning all!

I had my initial 10 vectrors review on Veer Marketplace and it says:

"
There has been new activity on your Veer Marketplace contributor account.

Here is a summary of your contributor statistics:

Approved: 10
"

So, I believe they need my illustrations 'in terms of composition, use of BLAH BLAH and stock value so BLAH BLAH... So, iStock welcome Veer!

It is all in Competition - what else to say ;-)

I have uploaded my first 10 a couple of days ago, it's still "pending", is this normal or is it stuck somewhere?
I've had 2 e-mails update telling me there has been new activity, but ..actually it's just showing the pending status

I think it is 48 hours waiting until review complete... Maybe few hours more or less...

Just wanted to register as contributor and after my account is verified by e-mail and I click on "become a contributor" I get this error message :

Uh-oh, something broke.
d:\inetpub\marketplace.veer.com\App\Views\Account\Contribute.aspx(110): error CS1061: 'Corbis.MarketPlace.Web.Controllers.AboutController' does not contain a definition for 'ContributorAgreement' and no extension method 'ContributorAgreement' accepting a first argument of type 'Corbis.MarketPlace.Web.Controllers.AboutController' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

Well, can you look into this ? Thanks

I am experiencing broken uploads in at least 50% of uploaded files. I use Cute FTP.

8 of 10 approved from my initial batch. Uploaded 20 more last night using the web uploader which works fine for me. Very curious to see how Veer does for us all. They have a great reputation in the advertising world and could be a top contender. Go Veer!

Why not Filezilla (but it shouldn't make any difference)?
Is your net connection flaky? Mine too here. Some FTP servers have timeout problems.
Did you IPTC with Irfanview or with any of the Adobe products?

I think I'm just going to be patient and let them work out all the bugs before I bother trying to upload or do anything.

I'll wait for first sales reports to see if I'm going to bother to upload. (Has anyone got any sales reports yet? How is Veer doing compared to others?)

I haven't even been able to successfully sign on to FTP.  They say use your sign-in name.  I have tried both my screen name and my e-mail and neither works.

Any suggestions???

Use html upload until they fix problems with FTP...

I am waiting to hear if there will be any other payment method due to I can't be payed via PayPal and Payoneer is not something I like... So, maybe check will do - I am OK with quarterly check payouts until this thing solved...

OK, I found my problem with Filezilla. I didn't have the ssl/tsl settings right. Uploading OK now.

Thanks.  This was very helpful.  As far as I can see Coffeecup doesn't have a way to set ssl/tsl settings, but I was able to do it in Filezilla.

Same here, got my password and invite email , but I'll wait . It's only growing pains, and once the glitches have been smoothened, I'm sure all will be fine... soon.

Well i got this reply from support today:

"Hi Pablo,

The approval process requires that you submit the 10 initial images which must in turn be approved before you can submit anymore.  I believe the error stemmed from the fact that you were trying to upload more images before your 1st 10 had been approved by our editors.

I see your initial 10 have now been approved so I don't the same problem should crop up again.

Regards,
"

As i said before, i was aproved the day before i start to submit more images, i had a limit of 100 images to upload.
Eitherway it seems they just delete the files from the server, and now i could just try again and all went sweet since then, now im uploading my 100 images quota in batches of 20 just in case, and all looks fine now, the process is easy and if you dont have any issue it fast.
About the earning stats, i read somewhere that they will send you monthly a report via mail with sales and earning information, untill the data is available on the web.
Cheers

Love it so far Bryan! The interface is clean and easy to navigate, the site is responsive, the upload process was painless. Little details make our life easier like the online W8BEN and the fact that we didn't have to get the notorious ITIN or EIN (for individuals like me).

The next couple of days will be a good stress test for your platform and your poor reviewers... lol. Good luck to them and good luck to all of us saleswise :)

Hi Talanis -

Thanks for the kind words. We worked hard to make the potentially onerous IRS withholding tax process as painless as possible.

Welcome to Veer Marketplace!

- Brian

Hi Lisafx -

Would you mind posting or PM'ing me your FTP details?  (client name, connection details)
We're working on some add'l troubleshooting guidelines that may help solve many issues that are causing failures or hang-ups when uploading via FTP.

Thanks,

- Brian

Hi Fyletto -

Thanks for reporting this. Definitely a bug - the dev team has spotted it and are working on a fix now. I'll update you again soon.

Thanks,

- Brian

I'm confused.  I'm from London (& UK citizen) and I want to submit to some US based stock agencies but they all seem to require a Tax ID number for their W8s.  But you're saying that I can fill out a W8 for Veer without one and still get the treaty rate of zero withholding?  What are you relying on when you say that?  because in the w8 instructions i can't find any explanation of why I'd be able to get the treaty rate with no Tax ID number...

Also, if it turns out later that I owed the 30% to the IRS would this be deducted from my royalties earned later?  or would i have to pay it back to you?

They will catch up, picture them burning the midnight oil!
My FTP problems were solved this morning. I didn't do anything, so Veer must have fixed something.
I like the upload and keywording system. Very easy to use when it got going.
Lets all cross our fingers for lots and lots of sales.

Looks like too many problems from the get go for me to want to try it out yet. I wonder how much testing was done before opening up for contributors? Give them a couple of weeks to see if things get smoothed out.
