I think Veer owes Getty a thank you note. With the anticipation of Getty screwing StockXpert contributors, I, along with several other microstock contributors I've talked to are uploading like crazy to Veer. Hopefully Veer will pickup for StockXpert when I have to pull my pics due to their inevitable commission cut, or even closing of the site...  who knows.... and who cares.

Perfect timing Veer...perfect timing :)  Love your easy upload process!!!!!!!!

While I certainly hope you are right about Veer Market Place, I am still getting DLs from StockXpert virtually everyday so I will not send my condolences yet.

I share the sentiment that we hope Veer MP will take off successfully and quickly.

I am not sure that they give specific image by image comments on the application batch. I think Brian posted somewhere, that of your 10, 7 have to be suitable for their collection in order for your application to be approved.
I know that what he said. At least in my case, I was approved only after 4 images reviewed. The other 6 were still pending.

golden, did you have your SV portfolio transferred? SV ported accounts do not have to go through this application process.
No. I was never at SV.

I can't figure out how to do 2 things.

1.  How do I turn off daily updates that come by e-mail?

2.  Do I start again when replacing a photo with a note like "Adidas stripes are trademarked. Please remove and resubmit. " Do I simply delete that photo from my "New" area?   The "Rejects" area is empty, but I don't see a "replace" feature anywhere.

Don't know how to answer number 1, but for number 2... there is currently no replacement feature. I left the "needs work" images in my pending folder, and resubmitted new versions. Once the new ones were accepted, I deleted the "needs work" ones from the folder.

I think they are going to eventually have some kind of resubmit function, but right now they don't.

I'm still seeing all my SV vector images that were ported over to Veer showing as broken images in my dashboard. Anyone else? Only new uploads actually show up properly.

I don't have any transferred from SV (they rejected me only to accept me first go when they actually looked at my photos and not the sales figures. erghhh ! Sorry can't help but rant)

so can't answer your question regarding transferred files though I have a number of new uploads that show broken images.

So I think the problem is not exclusively to do with ported images from SV

The same here. Ported jpg files came over fine, but the SV vectors show no image.

ALL 10 of mine got REJECTED!!!!!

If you with 1,506 photos and 7,257 sales on Dreamstime (also ex featured photographer there) failed the "exam", I won't even try.
My 10 were also refused for "guess it" as stupid as it could be, as they seem to like them. Funny !  they like but they arn't good fit. ha ha ha  !
I don't think that I will retry as I really don't know what kind of pictures they are looking for. Mine were quite diversified, accepted and good sellers in other microsites.
Here the reason
"Based on these 10 images, we can't offer you contributor privileges at this time. You are welcome to submit 10 new images. We like your photos, but feel the vectors you submitted aren't a good fit for us. We look forward to your next submission - try again. "

When Veer feel an image has too many non-relevant keyword, it really stinks there isn't a way that we can just edit them out on the site end (unless I'm just not seeing it...)  I have a bunch I'm going to have to delete, and then rekey and then reupload - and no, that won't be happening.  I don't have time for that crap.

But you can edit the keywords on the site end.  Under your Workspace (New)  select the image (or several) and click on continue.  There (on Prepare and Submite page), on the right,  bring down Keywords and delete or add words.  When done select the image and submit again . . . .  it works well, but slow if you are like me and have to eliminate several words.

You could also try uploading images with fewer non-relevant keywords.

VEERs 10 uploads are as bad as SS, but I will say the support will respond to your emails quick.  I had all 10 images rejected for basically "not quite what we need".  If something is wrong with the images, tell me so I know which ones to submit and not do the same type of images for crying out loud.  uhg...still getting sales though at SV

Did you read their guidelines about what they are looking for? How much time did you spend checking out the Veer macro collection?

My experience is good. They accepted 10 of 10 and it took less then a week.  Their FTP worked without any problem and the upload interface looks pretty good, it is already better then most of the agencies have.

Well, my experience was great apart from yesterday.. EPS file upload is problematic.. About 80 files accepted and 34 files rejected for a reason that has got nothing to do with me..

I am ok if the file is rejected for a normal rejection reason.. But I am certainly not OK when they say "Please resubmit the files because our preview generation sucks!" They say I am supposed to change the files so their previews can be created! The previews are all great elsewhere and nothing wrong with the settings of the files..

Now I am seriously worried that my accepted images may actually look bad in the previews when the site goes online.. Why on earth were they not rejected if my settings were wrong?..

The rejected files are not gradient mesh or something.. They are exactly the  same style as the accepted ones..

I did spend some time looking through the market place to see what kind of images they had.  I however did not see a place where they say what their needs are.  Have you seen that?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I answered the same question on the previous page.

It's not really a wild stab in the dark  ;), but here is what they say in regard to what they are looking for:
FAQ: Quality & Content

FAQ: Quality & Content

What kinds of content will Veer Marketplace accept?
Were looking for high-quality content that will appeal to Veers design-savvy customer base. Things like:

- Model-released images of people in business or lifestyle settings
- Images that creatively capture in-demand concepts like green or togetherness
- High-quality travel and landscape shots with excellent technical quality
- Technically excellent shots of utilitarian business and home tools and objects
- Vectors: from simple (but useful) backgrounds, to more stylized work

What kinds of content won't be accepted?
Veer customers prefer and count on a tighter, more curated selection of content. This is good news for you. A smaller pool filled with higher-quality content means your content has a better chance to be noticed. To that end, we suggest you don't submit:

- Multiple, similar images of flowers from your garden
- Snapshots of your cat sunbathing (no matter how adorable)
- Outtakes from your last family vacation
- Images that include designs, logos, or trademarks
- Images that include famous modern buildings or modern art
- Images with heavy use of filter effects

Ok, yes I saw that...most images I submitted to them where Business and Landscape/Cityscape shots.  For the support guy I talked to he seemed to think that about 2/3rds of the shots where good and I just need to switch out a few shots.  So we will see, they are pending.
