Does anyone know what the limit is on Veer for submissions? Is it based on your approval percentage? Also it it a daily limit or monthly?

Thanks

It's a weekly limit, and it used to be 50 for everyone. A month or so ago some people started to see lower limits and we have no clear idea why. I still have 50 and I haven't uploaded to Veer since the Alamy debacle - no word from them about that, the changed limits or just about anything.

When you're trying to upload a whole portfolio, 50 a week is tedious. As I've put that on hiatus until there's some sign that Veer is taking contributor issues seriously - that they can't just do whatever they like with our content without asking or compensating us fairly - I've temporarily stopped caring :)

yeah, 50 a week really puts the brakes on if your trying to upload a decent batch. I not sure about the Alamy issue- I thought there was resolution on that....

They took the Veer images off Alamy, which left us with no current problem, but the big unresolved issues for me were (a) where does it spell out what portion we get of money made via partner deals (and I don't want my regular Veer royalty if that leaves them with a huge part of the total) and (b) they can't upload Veer images to sites where we'll be competing with ourselves - sites where we can upload directly or where other sites are already partners - without giving us an opt out. Veer has been completely silent since taking the images down from Alamy.

The fact that their contributor communications make iStock look talkative is also not good, IMO. We had to find out about the Alamy thing because contributors noticed and kept following up - other than saying "my bad", I never saw anything remotely like Veer committing to do better in the future

Mine was 50 a week but went to 10 a few weeks ago with no explanation or warning.  Interestingly, about the same time Crestock went from 10 a week to 50.  Review times for my last batches to Veer were around 6-8 weeks so they clearly have issues.  I stopped uploading to both a while ago due to:
1. Too long review times
2. Inconsistent and sometimes weird review results, and
3. Mainly lack of sales, especially for Crestock.  I had a BME at Veer in June but haven't had a single DL there this month - probably won't bother uploading there again until they show some signs of life.  They have one of the highest RPDL numbers for me so I hope things pick up, but right now their summer slowdown has become the summer stop.

This is the response I got from support back in June.  Still doesn't explain why some still have 50 and others have 25 or less.

I emailed support the other day and just got this response a few moments ago.

Hi Anita,

We sometimes make changes to submission limits in order to keep a balance between editor workload and review time.

Mine went from 50 a week to 25. Not sure why! I tend to upload automatically to the site via Lightburner and then visit each week or so to push the latest 25 images into their review queue.

So there appears to be no method to the madness- I thought maybe my acceptance rate (65%) was too low thus getting punished as deserve - DT has a similar process but now I see they can just make a change on the fly without any reason- love it!
