Funny this!  all the hype, speed, this and that. How can it take them weeks to do some simple editing, reviewing, etc. They must be really overworked hey?

Are they ever gonna get off the platform at all.

I don't care how long it takes them to approve images, they have increased sales and are now one of the middle tier sites with good potential.  They have achieved this quite quickly, compared to other sites in the earnings poll that have been around years longer.

they are still processing the huge "dash for cash" queue, hope review times will improve once that q is over

however sales are slowly but constantly improving, that's what matters most to me; not bad for a "new" site

Exactly! Great sales this month. At the moment they are 3rd on my list.

I have 50 files pending since 3 or 4 weeks, but sales have been so good there lately that I don't mind if I have to wait  ;)
I think they are either doing well with marketing or the new search engine pushes their buyers to microstock images. As a matter of fact you can narrow your search by microstock price but you can't do it by traditional macrostock price. Thus buyers have to see microstock images together with higher priced contents.

I made a few hundred in their Dash for Cash program and am now also enjoying sales at decent prices from those submissions.
I like Veer.

It is kind of discouraging. I have a batch of images waiting for review since July 6th!  :-\

They're finally clearing all the D4C submissions.  I had a big stack of images waiting around since June.  Now there's only one left to be processed, along with 911 from after the promotion ended.

Quick OT question before I start uploading: is it possible to disable single images at any time or are they locked for a certain time like they are at Dreamstime for instance?

Thanks very much!  :)

Are you serious??? So you upload batches of hundreds ??? well i think i know why my sales have droped lately, i guess in the D4C period they have increased drastically their amount of images, so my tiny port is less visible.
I can only dream to produce images in hundreds like you do  :(
cheers

Dark Angel,
I think I know the answer - yes, you can. There's no image lock-in at Veer. You're free to delete your port anytime you want to.
But just to make sure, will you wait a couple of hours for an official reply?
I don't want to give you the wrong information :)

Don't overlook Veer, give them a try. If you can :)
It's a special agency with generous commissions and increasing sales.
They're part of Corbis, giants of the industry, but unlike Getty, they're fair.
Well worth the effort.

But there's a problem that you should know of. Right now inspection times can be very long. Veer is aware of this, they're training new inspectors and working to improve it.
It will get better, I'm sure :)

Yes, the site made an awesome first impression and I'd like to give it a chance :)

It appears I'll have enough time to wait a couple of hours, since I need to upload the 10 image - application first :)

Looks like they'll be done with the D4C soon... had over 100 images accepted this week from the last week of June. They must be pushing hard to lower the inspection times so that it doesn't turn off new contributors. Maybe. Sales were up every month, but not so good in September for me. I even had a couple of commissions suddenly disappear a few days after the sale.. odd..

That's been explained before. The numbers shown in your dashboard contain the sales from a rolling one year time period. If you adjust the date settings in the dashboard you will see all sales made.
Brian has announced they will change that in another thread.

Well....I have bout 300 in que.  Most of them since early July.  Now it looks like early Nov before they are caught up....Ugh....

I guess what really kills me is that I did not know about the dash nor was a Veer contributor while that was going on.

So I hear all the great praise about the promotion,  get no sales from that, and have to keep waiting.  The only reason I keep uploading is that I have actually had a few sales on the 9 images that they DID accept as part of the application process....which bodes well if they ever get to processing my other images in que.

My CfD pictures have finally been reviewed. 70% acceptance, and they chose different pictures from the other agencies. It looks like they look more at compostion than at the technical details. It will be interesting to see what sells, and how long it will take to reach payout. The views are certainly up.

Yes that's my experience too... more artistic, creative shots for Veer.

Well Im afraid this is just too time consuming, waiting, etc, for my taste,  its like in the old film-days when I submitted trannies to the Getty-RM, takes months. Today its digital, quick and fast and theres no excuse for weeks on end.
For fulltime photographers speed is of the essence and one of the criteria for faster turnover and revenue. This incredible delay of reviewing, etc, is more geared towards the part-timer and weekend-snapper, etc.
I think Im about to bail out of this.

Usually I've been severe against Veer, because of slowness in selection of images and batch rejections.
But lately I have to admit they're making the right steps (or maybe I'm a little bit influenced by the Dash for Cash thing: I am still not used to get money only for the fact I've had images accepted...)
Anyway, in the last days I've had some very good sale, one EL, and I see things are moving.
Hope that it's not for short time, like it happened in the past.

I disagree, they were swamped with uploads, I would much rather they took their time and reviewed all images properly.  Other sites have reduced the queue by rejecting most of the images in it, that's unprofessional.  Their review times were reasonable before they offered a bonus for uploading.  A few weeks or months isn't going to make much difference to images that should sell for years to come.

I agree. I don't really understand the impatience to see your files reviewed immediately or see the site extremely profitable overnight.
