When the heck do they pay?  I've got like $100 in my account and there's no cashout request...what do they pay every 3 months or something?
From Veer website:
When will I be paid?
The minimum threshold for payout is $100.00. Royalties will accrue until you surpass $100. If you dont happen to hit $100 during the year, youll automatically receive payout of any accrued royalties after the close of the calendar year.

You will be paid 15 days following the month your accrued royalties surpass $100. So if you made $50 in March, and $75 in April, you will be paid $125 by May 15th. If you made $105 during the month of June, you would receive payment on July 15th.

i think they have one of the most fair payout methods around - paying out everything at the end of the year, even if it is a couple dollars.

They need to offer what others are offering. I mean the same amount (or at least a comparable number) of images in order to catch the attention of buyers. There is no way I'll upload 10k images without having a proof they will sell. And I am sure I am not alone. And because photographers do not upload they do not have customers and they can't prove decent sales.

In my opinion they should motivate photographers to give them more images and give it now. This should be the first logical step. If they are a strong player with a giant behind them they should have to spend a lot of money to build up their collection first. They should pay upload fee to photographers or at least offer them in-house upload from DVDs. Well, I asked them about this second option... no answer.

I don't mind uploading there because it is reasonably easy and they do have sales.  They already have all the images they selected from snap village and judging by the review times, they are getting lots of new uploads.

I do wish they would let us know what they are doing to attract buyers to the site.  The other sites all seem to be bragging about the amount they are going to spend on marketing next year, Veer will have to do more than they are.  I still have doubts that they are really serious about microstock.

I sold more images with a smaller portfolio at Snapvillage than now with Veer MP.

A total dud.

I'm pretty happy with them...i have a tinytiny portfolio there (55 pics), only had 2 rejections and have a download more or less every other day (not counting the serious down in sales the first half of november) usually between $1-3 range...
Not so spectacular, definitely compared to SS and iS, but still better than DT for me (with 227 pics).
I like them so far and am going to upload the rest of my portfolio as soon as i find time.

At least for me the problem shows in this graph (245 images online), I have had some downloads but those numbers are also going down.  I guess the number of online files are growing.

My approval rating this month:
SS 59,62%
IS 40,68%
FT 30,96%
DT 52,85%
BS 72,22%
StockXpert 85,83%
...
Veer 4,23%... (6 images accepted out of 142)
And, of course, no sales and 9 views on a portfolio of 259 images.
Ok, I can be still a newbie, I don't have a great portfolio and so on.
But don't you think there's something strange here?

Strange? I don't think so. They didn't promote it, they entered at a time when there was already a glut of microstock companies on the market and the niche they are feeding is very specific (ad agencies, high end advertising.)

In my opinion, unless a company has a ton of money behind them and is going to go after the Getty/istock micro market with something new and different (meaning lower prices, better commissions for photographers, etc.), I don't see how they can be successful in today's economy. I sound pretty pessimistic, don't I.  :'(

I'll wait and see also. Just like I'm still waiting for Lucky Oliver, Snap Village, and Yay.
Please God, allow no new micro sites in 2010!

 :(

This is worst one in industry for rejections. I am with 8 micro's. My average is about 88% accepted. Veer is like 1%!
What a joke. Something is seriously wrong here.
Anyway i have decided to let my feet do the talking - by not sending to them again.

lol, Yuri was here a moment ago, why don't you ask him directly?  :D

seriously, i think we all gave VeerMP a little too much benefit of the doubt, because of the older senior .
but i guess just because your dad  or grandpa was a good business man does not mean the grandchild cannot end up to be a dud (case in point, like some famous hotel heiress, lol).
red faced , i am not betting on MP anymore.

You have a very low acceptance rate everywhere, so your situation with Veer is quite logical.
For example it is really very easy to get acceptance on BS or StockXpert above 95%

that said, it is also very easy to get a high acceptance ratio with VMP,
give them all that is not on the Big 6,
or give them your new images first before they come on the Big 6.
it works for me.
 ;)

but as someone pointed out, VMP seems like they are simply doing no promo
and riding on the coat-tail of their daddy site, so in 2010 they are not getting anymore new images from moi. 8)

It is all relative.  Can anyone see another site launched last year that is doing better than VeerMP?  They are in the "up and coming" section of the poll here, that is amazing for a relatively new site.  I don't know if they have started marketing the site seriously yet and how ambitious they are but with Corbis behind them, I will keep uploading.  Not had any big problems with rejections yet.  Some reviewers are stricter than others but that is the same with most sites.  I upload small batches and most of them are being accepted.  They have their quirks but overall I think they are doing much better than SV so far.  If they do get aggressive with marketing and Corbis really is interested in microstock, they could be in the top 4 sites by the end of 2010.

Yeah but it shouldn't be 1/10th the acceptance rate of that of Istock with 1% of the revenue

I just had the fun of experiencing this for the first time.  ;D

20 of 23 rejected (excuse me, "failed").  Only one was not what they were looking for. The rest were all due to technical problems, especially blur / focus, with pixel quality issues being second most common. I guess my 5DII just doesn't cut it anymore. At least it's still good enough for iStock, though.  ;D

That's the last Veer will get from me, unless things change. It's just SO not worth it.

Do not feel sorry I just got 100% rejected. Mostly old stuff already selling on other sites so it could not be that bad :-) As in old saying it's theirs circus and theirs animals, they can do whatever they want :-)

I used to have acceptance rate ~80% at Veer last year until December.
Submission during last month, ~60 pictures in 2 or 3 batches - 100% rejects.
