Decided to remove 50% from my portfolio at videohive

I removed all my hd files since they sell the hd files with 8$ and i get only 3$ while at videoblocks i get 42$ fot the same file.
I have to say that i had decent sales at videohive but i think that they are doing damage to the stock industry with such low prices. I think maybe to remove all my portfolio since they charge 4k files with only 25$.
But i will wait with such a drastic move.
What do you think?

Good. Submitting to Videohive is like a commercial suicide to a videographer. Beyond that, Envatos business practices are highly questionable and might bring you legal trouble depending on your country of residence.

trek:
Low pricing and pathetic return per download is why I never uploaded there.

StefC:
Yeah, me too.
I mean, they sell HD videos for 8 dollars?? 25 for 4K video (which cost 4 or 6 times more on all other agencies)?!

Why should we practically give our videos away for free? And yeah, I'm sure they have quite a lot of sales... But we receive next to nothing!

I think you should remove your entire portfolio. Videohive (and basically Envato as a whole) damages the industry. Selling quality content for these low prices is just laughable. I don't understand why anyone would shoot themselves (and fellow artists) in the foot by selling for cheap.

Meanwhile, Envato screwed up with the whole 'we're not an agency, we're a marketplace' crap just so they wouldn't be responsible for the taxes (which resulted in lots of legal hassles for contributors in Europe) and more recently their commission cuts.
