Hi everyone! Josh here from Envato. Many of you might know me from discussions we've had on the PhotoDune board (http://www.microstockgroup.com/photodune-108/). I’m also quite involved with VideoHive and wanted to pop in for a quick introduction. VideoHive is an Envato Marketplace (http://notes.envato.com/category/envatos-most-wanted/) where you can buy and sell royalty-free footage and motion graphics as well as After Effects Project files.
With traffic in the millions, and loads of opportunity for new and quality items, many of our contributors are making 6 figures annually finding the freedom they desire to create and produce what they love and are passionate about.
If you are looking for new and exciting challenges, be sure to check out our Envato’s Most Wanted (http://envatomarketplaces.com/) contests where we offer great prizes and cash rewards for items in high demand. In fact, we are currently offering a $5,000 bounty for “Trailers” (http://videohive.net/forums/thread/envatos-most-wanted-trailers-5000/134875) created for After Effects, Apple Motion, or Cinema 4D!
We are really excited to have a home here on MicrostockGroup and invite all motion graphics and stock footage junkies to check us out as we are growing fast and always looking for great new contributors!
Feel free to hit me up here, or via my Envato profile (http://videohive.net/user/JoshuaSprague) if you have any questions, I'm happy to help :)

Hey Josh,
Please tell us why Envato is deliberately undercutting and trying to destroy the video market for contributors with your extremely low ball pricing? Why on earth would I settle for only a buck or two per sale from Envato when I'm doing quite well at P5, SS, IS, RS, CS, etc. and receive on average 15 to 20 times more per sale than what you offer? Please do enlighten us!

I imagine they are hoping for a higher volume of sales. How is the Envato accept/reject rate compared to the other Microstock sites? I'm willing to bet that they'd accept footage that was rejected elsewhere (could be wrong though). Also, if you're non-exclusive, it's just another place where you can earn. I don't sell on VideoHive, but if I did I wouldn't use my same account name that I have on other stock sites so that buyers couldn't just google me and find the same footage at a cheaper price.

Sadly, ever higher volume is simply an illusion.
