I see over on the right hand side that YAY now has a green arrow.
Is this new status reflected by increasing sales for anyone?

Me - I'm stuck on Zero ( a long time)!

Sorry to say that even with 500 photos on there I hardly even check the site anymore. But I wil check out the "greening" thing.

I really wanna say YAY for YAYmicro. Hopefully soon...I've had only 3 sales on 3000 images.

EDIT:  my fault, 4.  Guess I sold one last week.  1 Euro.  I'm rich! woo hoo

still slow and sporatic.  I have had 2 sales this month, one at 1 euro and 1 at 5 euros.  I really like their prices and website so I am still hoping for them to succeed.

I'm up to 3 total sales since they opened the black hole they call their site. How those three got sold with the seemingly inert status of their operation is beyond me. I haven't uploaded there for nine months or so but I do check my statistics there every month just to maintain my level of angst.

I'd appreciate it if someone posts the death notice here so I know where to send the flowers.

I am on the verge of dumping them, because of their search engine. Tens of similars in a row, no ranking as to relevance, just as to upload date. A buyer wouldn't even find my shots.

Since nothing happened to the buyer's end of the site (I have a different buyer's account and I'm looking to the source once in a while) I figure their main programmer left long ago.

No marketing effort whatsoever visible on Google. No life in the forum. Crap images. Anybody has any reason to stay there? I'm through.

When are you pulling your port off of Yay? I'm about ready to do the same thing. I have over 1800 images there over 6 or 7 months and zero sales. What a waste of time! I expect to see it go belly up very soon.

They will soon be sinning the LO song. "Oh so bad is me!"  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I just requested Yay to delete my port.
I'm done with them.

I will stay a bit more with them...

I wonder about something:

YAY MICRO - NAMING DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BUY STOCK IMAGES...

SO, I beleive that someone there must add IMAGES into title of site and agency!!!

It is always stupid to call your firm apple except you are not making computers ot ipods ;-)
Also, it is always stupid to call your firm OMV if you are not selling gasoline!

It is always a problem in marketing when you are making your branding with brand name not so well attached to industry where you belong...

YAY MICRO IMAGES - should be the new and last startup brand name for other start with possible better start or no more YAY on-line ;-)

I agree - unfortunately Yay appeared to be complete waste of time. Nobody expects great sales from a startup, but Yay doesn't even show any efforts to progress!

I already dumped Crestock this week. Since my last upload to YAY was 2 weeks ago and they put effort in reviewing, I'll wait 4 more weeks. My main problem is their search engine on the buyer's side. It doesn't take into account the view count nor the sales. It's just upload date and presence of a keyword that determines the rank.

I did sell 1 for 5 euros last week but until I reach the payout level, it doesn't make much difference.  I hoped to see a few sales each week by now.

I had a sale there last week too.

You want my honest theory?  There are so many contributors pulling out of Yay, that our exposure is increasing.  I cannot find any site analytic which suggests traffic is increasing.

Good point Dan, it is true that a 500 pictures porfolio has quite an exposure there, hope they have still some buyers so we can reach payout :)
