Title: Celebrating second sale on Yay!
Post by: Yay Images Billionaire on September 10, 2014, 03:11
After having one sale on Yay over the course of the last two years, I was shocked to see my second sale there today.

Now that my faith in Yay's sales potential has been restored, I'm wondering how do I go about leaving the fortunes from my payout to my great grandchildren?

Average 7 euros a year so only 2 years to go for the first payout!

How did you achieve that?

According to Yay you have no photos with them

That is strange. I have just over 1,200 photos in my Yay portfolio. Either the site generates that link incorrectly or I put the incorrect information in.

I am soon gonna celebrate my anniversary of leaving yay after having 121 sales in like 2,5 years..

phew, that was tough..

(+ their yay streaming crap they pulled on us made it an easy decision even though they paid a high percentage)

You are lucky I have never sold anything on Yay.

I checked their facebook page and they have not bothered to post anything for months.

I replied to one of their junk emails telling them I thought I was wasting my time on them and that it apeared everyone else in the photographer forums felt the same way.

They have not replied to that email yet.

imagesbykenny this is a great new! Congratulation!!

The bad new is that you will never see your money…

Yep, I'm fairly sure Yay's business plan is predicated on never enabling anyone to make payout - ever. That way they keep 100% of not so much and we get nothing.

Laugh all you want guys but this is the only agency that is truly contributor friendly.
If we all would have supported this agency when it needed us the most we would be making triple of what we do now.
Of course sales aren't what you expect them to be there. Prices there are higher then the competition and somehow we like to guide customers to the more greedy agencies out there to get some quick sales anyway.
Us photographers and designers are supposed to be smarter then that no?

If they were truly contributor friendly they would let me take my $13 and close my account. I don't regard establishing the first streaming service in Microstock as being remotely contributor friendly.

1) when I have to pay the plumber if I say him that I work with Yay, a "contributor friendly stock agency" he will ask me to show him the money…

2) I have deleted all my images from their site about 9 months ago. More times I have asked them to close my account and to pay me my due… I am still waiting an answer from this "contributor friendly stock agency"…

Sorry, how are $ .15 image sales "contributor friendly"? Because those are all I ever got from them. No, really, even dropping Depositphotos wasn't quite as much of a no-brainer as dropping Yay.
