New email from Linda:

"Just wanted to give you a quick update!

First, we've added three new API Partners. We're happy to welcome Datacraft from Japan, Photokore from China and BetterPhoto from China. You'll find details and the opt-out option under My Account > Photographer > API details.

In 2011 we've seen an increase in images being uploaded and distributed to YAY. We think it's great that so many talented photographers joins us, but unfortunatly it's also caused rather long review times. From our normal review time of 24-48 hours it's been as long as three to four weeks. This month we've hired more approvers, and in a short while review time should get back to normal again. "

Think someone should tell them that Photokore can not even sell its own images. Have over a 1000 with them and 5 sales for a massive $3.46 since Jan 2012. If the images was sold through the API I would have had $1.73.

The review time is not the biggest problem Linda, with all the extra uploads the dismal sales we had has no turned to zero with all the new contributors we have to share it with.

Linda, you have the stock now, what we all now need is aggressive marketing to sell it!!!!    :-\

Caution is necessary concerning YAY's API information.  It seems this is not entirely true:

Webpage: imageclick.com
Country: South Korea
Commission to photographer: 50%
Commission YAY get from distributor: 50%
Price level: Subs: $178 to $945

Although the price levels are stated in $$$,  in fact, it should be in Korean wons.
I just had a sale for 0.1

Subs for $178 . . . . . .What was I thinking . . . . .

I think it's the price for a subscription plan, not for a single download.
They should add a bit more information about the pricing plans and resulting royalties...
Had one of them as well this week, for 0,20 (or were these two sales reported as one?)
