Dear Esteemed 123RF Contributors,

Hope this email finds you well.

We are currently in the process of maintenance for our content collection. For established contributors, we are delighted to offer our support to enhance your content submission process through the utilization of our AI-powered auto-fill description and keyword tool!

Should you wish to provide your own metadata, please navigate to the Preference Setting in your Account Settings to opt out of using our AI for auto-filling descriptions and keywords. Please be advised that if no amendments are made by January 20, 2024, any content older than 30 days will be removed.

Should you have any questions or require assistance, our dedicated support team is here to assist you. We value your partnership and are committed to your success.

Thank you for your continued contributions, and we look forward to making your content creation experience even more seamless.

Best Regards,

Content Acquisitions Team

So they'll remove all older content of all contributors who do nothing?  Haha, I'm sure that is a typing error.  I think they mean :  If you opt out of AI keywording, all content WITHOUT METADATA will be removed after 30 days.

I had to read that 4 times to understand what they might have meant...

Is anyone going to opt in? And for what reason? I wont be as i can do a better job of key wording I believe plus I never upload direct to sites I used microstock plus which is based on you using your own keywords.

I think they will only add AI keywords/descriptions for images without metadata.  If yours are already keyworded, the AI will do nothing (at least that's how I understood it).

Go to https://www.123rf.com/contributor/account-settings and click on the last tab ("Preference Settings").

How is it possible to submit content without keywords? Isn't adding a title and keywords a must when you submit images?  ???

The best way to submit to this company without worrying about keywords or description-- NOT SUBMIT at all. Another bottom feeder that doesn't deserve our art at all!

Can't upload video via FTP. Does everyone have this problem?

Agree 100%. If you don't want your images used to train AI yank them. They are doing that without compensation of any kind.  Their response to me was tough s h ! t, if you don't like it close your account.  That, and for a couple of other reasons, I did just that.  Since I don't trust them one bit, I deleted my portfolio (~6,000 assets) myself. Then closed the account. They kept my $30.

I remember I opted out already, but when I checked again today, I found myself opted in.
Weird!

Anyway, not that it matters. 123RF was once the best of small agencies, now it's only a shadow of its former self.
