thx@deadly_splash:
It seems I don't have refunds yet, maybe it is because I do not have images older than 3 years at 123rf... or the refunds will come soon

Photobomb

I'm over this - just deleted all my images (10k+) and told them to close my account. They have become less and less relevant - Not even making payout last month for the first time in over 10 years.

Did you let them know why? I just emailed them asking for an explanation.

Thank you for contacting us.

The deduction you see in your earning balance indicates that the download was refunded.

Refunds may occur due to a number of reasons, such as the content not meeting client's requirements, fraudulent downloads, or credit card chargebacks. In cases such as credit card chargebacks, it may take a few weeks to months before the refund is reflected in your account, due to the processing times involved of the banks of both parties, in addition to the manual verification that needs to be done by our finance personnel.

Thank you for your kind understanding and patience in this matter.

Hope this clarifies, please contact us again if you require any further clarification.

Hurray! Another copy & paste answer where the person replying didn't even read the question! Just gotta love these.

I don't have a port with 123RF, so it doesn't affect me, but I have been following this thread, because I really would like to know how an agency can justifiy any kind of refund after as long as 10 years. We all know it's not any of the reasons given in the explanation: Doesn't meet client's requirement and it took the client 10 years to notice that? Eh, no. After 10 years, whatever the image was bought for, it has already been used.  Fraudulent downloads, or credit card chargebacks? Also no, because unlike stock agencies, no credit card company will allow a chargeback after 10 years. Also doesn't explain why everyone is suddenly seeing a mass of daily refunds.

Also seeing refunds of 2011, 2013, 2016 etc. for more than 6 days now - and hardly any new sales.  What is going on there?  Are they "cleaning up" old stuff and make us pay for it?

Since 8 April 2022 every day two refunds from 2013, 2014, 2016, 2021, 2022.
I wrote them, but they did not reply. So I started deleting my images. Everyday I will remove part of my portfolio.
Enough is enough!

Same here. For me, it also started for the first time on April 8. Three refunds so far from 2020.

Canonbabe

Over 20 refunds since april 12th and counting I guess.

I'm in this business since 2008 and never had many refunds but if they happened they occured most of the time with sales made by 123RF. Makes me wonder if their systems run well or are the 123RF clients so picky that they return files all the time? Is it easier to make a fraudulent purchase at 123RF?

Refunds for sales older that 6 months are unacceptable. No company allows you to return stuff after that time.

THESE PEOPLE are in financial trouble, hence this refund nonsense.

I tweeted a question to 123RF. Maybe if a few persons from this thread like the tweet it gets noticed by their social media team?

I got this as well, they are just lying, this has been going off and on for quite a few years, but in the last few years, they have stolen money more.

Same here I only had 3 refunds worth 72cents but they've gone now
