My entire portfolio is exclusive to Alamy.

In the past, because I was not sure if prints/products sales would disqualify some, I only marked a part as exclusive.

Now Alamy has confirmed that prints/products are exempted. That's great!

Do I need to go through the entire portfolio to mark each photo as exclusive?

My hands and shoulders have already been severely damaged due to over-use.

Hope someone can tell me a smart way. Thanks.

If all your images are exclusive, (by their definition, meaning no photos of old flat artwork, prints, book illustrations, etc,) you can ask their support to do it for you.

Otherwise, you can tick the button yourself by upload batches (one tick per batch).

Yes, all my images are exclusive by their definition, which comes in an email today. I emailed support, but the reply was not relevant to my question.

The following is a partial quote of what are considered exclusive:

Selling direct

Images can be sold through your own website or directly to customers and still be marked as Exclusive on Alamy.

POD sites

Images that are available via POD sites can be marked as exclusive as long as theyre not offered for additional licencing through the POD site.

Several people have reported that Support marke their entire port as editorial.
Maybe they stopped doing that since this was introduced?

If that doesn't work for you, it might be worth checking that whole thread.

I was able to have them make everything into RF from RM, but the whole, don't forget to tick exclusive images, is kind of absurd. Lets say someone has 2,000 images and ten are not exclusive, now what? Go through one by one and change them?

Or maybe I could tell them, please make everything exclusive and I'll tick the 10 that aren't?  ;D

This will be the third time I'll need to got through every image and change something, because Alamy changed their mind about how they should be tagged. Not pleased.

I made everything exclusive (I'd been ticking the box since it became available, then did all the previous ones by batch.
Then I saw the bit about statues over 1/3rd of the image can't be marked exclusive, so I looked up 'Statue' in AIM, guessed the proportion by eyeballing, and just made that small group non-exclusive (I think one by one, but it was very few, so no hassle in my case).

I hope there will be an exclusive filter soon.

You can at least do your most recent 500 uploaded all at once by ticking the 'Newest 500 passed' in AIM. (Takes a while for the system to select them all. Make sure you don't untick anything else!)

I submit RM there exclusive and everything else is nonexclusive.  Searched my portfolio for RM and then made them exclusive - easy.

Thanks! Alamy support also suggested this option. Oh well, still a lot have to be done one by one.

Oh thanks for pointing me the right direction. I'm just not that tuned in to all the new Alamy features at this point.

Shift select and Control select works.

Example, I had a set of 100 that was uploaded. You can tick the box in the corner, upper right of the group, Select All Passed. But say one was something I had uploaded elsewhere, (by the way they turn blue highlight at this point) Hold the control key and click that image, it will unmark. Might take a couple seconds. Then on the right, make sure the box Exclusive To Alamy is checked. It can be three states, Blue Box, Empty or check mark. SAVE

Way up top, upper right Unselect All (or was it de-select all?)

Move down.

Another example, you can mark up to 500 at any one group. You select the first you want to change, move down, down, down hold the SHIFT key and click the last image. All from first to that one will be marked. Same as before, make sure the box is checked for Exclusive, click SAVE. Wait, deselect all. Find the next batch.

You can mix or unselect within a group also. If you just selected 100 images and two aren't exclusive, use the CTRL + Click to unselect one at a time.

I just did around 2,000, didn't take more than half an hour. If everything is exclusive it's even easier. Plus I was marking Editorial Only for some, along the way, which made things a little more complicated.

Hope that was helpful, oh and yes you can select the newest 500, but after that you have to Ctrl + Click drag down and SHIFT + Click to mark all in between.

So for you, mark up to 500 at a time and if there are no Editorial Only, you're good.

I think I worked by Submission groups. Click a group. Go down a few groups and Shift-Click a group to get the whole range. Check the selected file count at top right. Click the Only On Alamy box and Save. Worked pretty quick. I later came back to search and find a few individual files that were not exclusive and reset the box.  You will have to eyeball the number of files in each submission and do the mental math so you don't exceed the file count capability.

Also correct, you can click by groups, upper right box, and deselect within that group if there are exceptions that aren't exclusive. Control+click

I don't know if it's my slow internet, but everything takes a couple seconds to react to any click or change. Selected have a blue highlight or box around them.
