Has Alamy got ftp ??  I'm having horrible problems with their online uploader AGAIN !!

I assume they have some sort of ftp because 'ProStockMaster' manages to upload to them ok !?  But as they only allow 5 uploads per day, it's not always convenient to use that software.

Really, I never got PSM to upload anything or get stats, and it works fine with the Micros.

No there is no ftp.

Here's what I do. I start the upload and "step away from the computer" don't touch the mouse, don't move anything. :D If you navigate away, open a second window or even look down the list, it seems to blow the whole thing. At least that's the way it was last year and I'm not interested in seeing if it has changed.

;) it is a bit touchy, isn't it !!?  Not to mention flakey !!  ::)

Yes PSM works fine.  Just used it to upload the files I've been trying to get up there this afternoon, with no problem :)
That's what I can't understand, if it works smoothly for them, then why not using Alamy's own upload tool !?

That's the way I do it, too - and it works consistently. This whole "multitasking thing" is overrated, anyway  ;D  ;D

I go and get a coffee !  but it still crashes !?   If I do 1 file at a time, I'm in with a chance and at least it doesn't have to do the whole batch again !!  :(

iSyndica doesn't like u doing much either !  ;)

Hi there

Last job of the day for me, I set it going very late at night, and never have a problem with batches of 25 or so.  I'd try uploading at different times to see if it helps.

Hi Stu

For the last couple of weeks when using the Alamy uploader I get a warning message saying some uploads could be problematic as they are changing the system slightly.

"You may experience occasional problems whilst using this service. Please accept our apologies. We are currently testing an alternative solution."

If it does crash out half way through, just click upload again or retry and it will keep on going.

Hi again

Mine just continues going where it had stopped - it would be annoying if it restarted for me..

UPDATE !!

Since upgrading to Win7, had NO problems with upload !?  early days yet, but looking good :)

Could it have been a XP problem ONLY !?
