I just checked my account and had 57 downloads overnight. Most for 2 to 10 cent royalties.  I did receive an email stating that I'd be paid "in full" for the last debacle where I opted out of all special sales.  This is either another "glitch" or they are giving me the whole amount as a follow up to the last ripoff.  The whole amount is, again, peanuts if this is indeed what the downloads are.

Otherwise, check your account. We may have another technical issue on our hands.

Mine came with a "Top-up amount for Jun-Aug sale." for whatever that's worth.

Strange. Mine all had commissions taken out.  Now, that being said, if these are how you claim, I will breathe a sigh of relief that the technical issue is resolved. But we were supposed to get 100% commission. I didn't.  Thanks for the intel.

Mine too: "China,Editorial website; Top-up amount for Jun-Aug sale"

I'm so happy for the adjustment and the $0.03 commission?  ::)

Only sales I get now are these insulting penny sales.  I did not mind few sales with better rate but now, I really do not think it is worth uploading to this agency.

Might as well work with Istock than this mess :( :( :(

I got the "top up" sales too. I haven't checked to see if they are all accounted for, but it is peanuts so it doesn't really matter for the $.  In other news I have more number of sales at Alamy than any other year and the gross total is higher than the previous 3 years although with the lower amount to me it might not be more net. Still, they haven't pulled a SS or an IS.

edit:
looking at the contributor report it looks like they took the commissions for Alamy and the distributor out of these top up amount - so they didn't really top things up all that much after all. I haven't tried to add up all the totals, but it looks like they messed up the "fix".

I had some of those too on Dec. 28th after I told them I wanted out of all these sales to China.  At least for these they split the commissions three ways so I netted at least a penny.  Had one for 11 cents where I got three!  How exciting!  Don't know where I can possibly spend all those pennies!  Could earn more looking for dropped change in a parking lot.

These, like the earlier ones to China, were supposedly for editorial use even though they were not at all editorial-type images.  My guess is that someone in China is using all these extremely cheap images to develop a database for resale and they probably are making a lot of money off our essentially purloined images.  I can't believe anybody would still be submitting to Alamy with this kind of return.  I stopped a couple of years ago.  Every time I think it might be fun to process and submit some more of the images that are collecting dust on my hard drive something like this happens and I realize yet again that, no, it just isn't worth the effort when I could be doing something productive like petting my cats instead.  At least the cats are happy.

On my dashboard is shows that I am having fees removed from each sale (like normal). I just received a response from their contributor team that this is in error due to technical issues.  It is supposed to be a top up but their  system still took commissions. They said that was in error and will get back to me. Geeze.

Same for me:

Hi Sebastian,

This seems to be an error on our side and our team are looking into this. Hopefully, this will be rectified as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Chantelle

And this after they sent me the same message again and I told them to read my emails for real and stop giving me copy paste....  >:(

Hi Sebastian,

After working with the distributor and as a gesture of good will, we are now going to rebill these images as a top up payment in your account, with the sale price being slightly higher than previously. These arent new licenses but are top up payments and you will see this reflected in your account over the coming days. This top up payment will also include the 100% commission that we were due to pay back to you from the corresponding sale(s) in September. Once again were sorry that this happened and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Many Thanks,

Louise

They are so unprofessional ....

Oh, tush, they only take c1.7 million per month, how could they possibly afford efficiency?  ::)

 ;D ;D ;D

probably more since part of the $1million paid out is to themselves as they are using the platform to peddle PA owned copyrighted images- that in addition to the cheap $0.06 access to image to the licence under these PA "novel" article.

From Alamy:

Hi Sebastian,

As you are aware we are paying back contributors 100% commission and a top up for the sales that happened in September. Regarding the sales you have recently seen in December these are not additional sales by the distributor and is an error in the way it has been displayed in your balance of account.

We are aware of this and checking this with our billing team, once the changes have been corrected when will let you know.

Kind regards,

Chantelle

I got a bunch of top up payments from 12 of the wrong in multiple ways sales from last year. I guess it is the thought that counts, since the total is for less than 25 cents.

I don't know if more are coming. Hopefully Alamy has learned not to allow this sort of sale, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

Yeah Baby!

But it did clear instantly?

Saw this and checked my balance - a whopping 1 cent top off for the image of mine mistakenly licensed to China. They gave me 1 cent out of a 3 cent "top off" a month or so ago I think then sent me an email saying that was a mistake and I'd get an additional payment. Ridiculous.

(But yes, it cleared instantly).
