Last time I checked the only thing they had stopped was paying royalties to contributors

Why! Why albumo why? Seriously WHY?  :D Why on earth would you ever consider uploading to albumo?

I can't understand why anyone would upload to albumo.  There were so few sales there, I left.  That is the only site I have left so far.  Try cutcaster, zymmetrical, mostphotos, pantermedia, imagevortex, yaymicro.  They all sell more than albumo.

In my case nothing going on.
I have asked support several times to close my account but up til now nothing happends....
About those othersites they do also nothing for me

Yet another reason to do some homework before you upload to a site.  There are several threads here in this forum dealing with Albumo.  Just reading one or two would be enough to steer any contributor from signing up.
400 Day lock-in on images, lack of any response from Albumo representatives *whoever they are*, their *main* HQ located in a residential apartment complex, the inability to delete more than one photo per day, ... the list is endless :)
Good luck, I hope you find a speedy solution.

funny how a site turns around (well not really haha funny), I remember being excited (a were a number others) and paid upload (which I happily received), they had allocated $25000 for that and had big talk of much larger marketing budgets.  I wonder what went wrong...

There is a very very significant drop after BigStock.. You should never upload to other sites below BigStock unless you are making a payout on BigStock every month which is 30 dollars. (not much either) Maybe canstockphoto or crestock have a chance to do something for you as well, but the rest of the sites, even when combined are rubbish. Possibly Veer is going to join the group above sooner than any other site.

The sites I am giving a slight chance of succeeding are: cutcaster, featurepics, yaymicro (very low chance)

Anything below: Why waste your time, I just don't get it?! Don't bother with them before you see them rising on the list. The list on the right is quite accurate. You don't need to discover a new continent in the hope of sales. If you are not getting sales on TOP 7 or 8, it means you will definitely not get sales on any other sites. (I am not talking about occasional miracles; miracles can happen :D)

Zymmetrical are definitely worth it for those who get good sales on the other sites.  I don't sell many but the prices are higher and 70% commission is great.  I made $22 on one last month and $70 for an EL this month.

Yes I know that now but last year when I started selling through stock I didn't know.
I give every agencies one year...If in that time nothing going on I quit uploading... or quit my account.
I have not the normal stock images or illustrations and some agencies do great and others are bleeeehhhhhh.

Are the sales regularly coming?

EL's are nice but we can't rely on them.. They are not as regular as other sales..

I quit zymmetrical last year after problems with uploading (error messages)and pictures of mine in other mens port and visa versa (you know ghost images)    and altough Keith was very helpfull I lost faith in Zymmetrical. Sorry but for me no way back to zymm
Also the sale were not that good for me only $11 in 6 months so .....ok thats better than some other agencies.

Completely agree Cidepix.  Below BigStock there are a whole load of sites not worth bothering with.

Hope Veer joins the good ones.  Otherwise I will regret wasting time with them too.

Not as regular as the big sites but their payout is low, so I can get my money when I have a few sales.  That is nice compared to some of the sites.

I still have images there because of the whole 400 day thing...but I think they are pretty much dead.  I have $26 in my account for over a year.

It's nice you appreciate the payout limit :) - I have always been of the mindset that it's best to move funds as quickly as possible. I don't want to owe my buddy $10 nor should my business owe anyone else money as far as is reasonable within a business unit.

As per http://www.zymmetrical.com/blog/blogid/1/, I am looking forward to Paypal's new API. Money is most rewarding when it's in motion for good business and not held onto.

And what does Pixmac has to do with an Albumo thread?...just because of this type of behavior (opportunist) I would never consider uploading anything to Pixmac.

Anyone thinking of joining pixmac should check this thread first.  Why hasn't zager replied there?

I like this one from Lev Dolgachov

What would be your suggestions for Pixmac to improve our service for users?
Image reviewing team. I would hire more professional reviewers or enhance the training of the ones you have now.

Does anyone else take that mean basically your reviewers are cr@p :):)

he has a bit over half his port there and has had 141 sales in the almost 6 months since 2/2/09, if there isnt much happening for him...
