"How to earn less than $1 a month on 3,870 images" by a donkey BigStock contributor

Sept 2019, I earned a relatively high $24 on 3,667 images.

Have your sales also collapsed?

I've seen a falloff but not quite as severe as yours. I'm doing about $8 / day on BigStock, down about 30% vs 2019.

This is with a port of 10,000+ images.

In the "good times" I used to make $100+/month there, last month it was a whopping $6

(short of 10K images there  I think)

I don't normally leave a site just because sales are slow (looking at you Canstock and Dreamstime), but I've been planning to leave Bigstock as soon as I get my next payout.  I don't trust the security of my images there because they are owned by Shutterstock. *ptui*

Sales have slowed down so much though, that I may leave without the payout.  It's taking too long, and I imagine Shutterstock looking at Bigstock for their next weird experiments.

I finally pulled the plug on Bigstock last week and closed my entire account. I was below the payment threshold, and after contacting support a couple of times I got someone helpful who immediately closed my account and scheduled my payment to go out with Octobers payments (I received a payment email from Bigstock to confirm this is the case).

So seems you don't have to wait for a payout if you want to leave.

Just having a laugh at myself. Yes I cut BS years ago. When they went from 50c a download (when SS bought the place) to 25c a download. I said "I'm not going to take that! It's an insult." Ha Ha, now BS is miserable, but still pays 25c a download and SS pays dimes? IS pays fractions of cents and flat 15%.

Maybe I should have stuck with BS?  ;D

Probably not because 25 cents of zero sales is stil 0$. It's true that SS and iS pay cents but at least you can have big sales. June was actually my BME at SS and iS.

Positively a fact, a better percentage of nothing is still nothing and crappy or zero sales for 25c instead of a dime, is not going to add up to more than many sales for less.

I'm happy that I left BS, DP, 123, and all the rest of the bottom feeders. What I'm missing, for the time I would have spent, isn't important enough to care.

Back to the poll. 33 people gave BS a 0.6 rank, or an average of $3 a month. WOW! I spend that on gasoline driving to the grocery store and back home.

Did anyone still have sales in January'24?

I didn't have a single sale for the first time (usually around 15 a month) and I'm wondering if they're being shut down by Shutter for good.

Yes, I still had sales in January and also in February.
But it was just 7 sales in January. I had 37 sales in January 2023, just for comparison.

With the inability to submit new content I don't really see this agency going forward. Obviously with the lack of new content customers and therefore sales are also declining, as was to be expected. But even before all that my income from Bigstock was so small, that it was hardly worth mentioning. I think apart from Vector Stock they have always been the agency with the lowest income for me, so it's not one I will cry about when they finally shut down for good.

Thanks for the info - so it is just me not having at least 1 sale :-)
I thought that shutter maybe stopped this site already, but that is not the case.

Three sales in January 2024, 15 in 2023. Very low seller for me

Good point. I forgot! "While we explore future improvements, starting on June 30, 2023 Bigstock will no longer accept new content submissions."
